    Raleigh Velo Trail; surprisingly lively

I had a 2012 Raleigh Velo Trail bike for around 18 months, during that time it had several parts replaced under warranty (torque sensor twice and motor replaced, cables failed) when finally after the motor failed again the bike shop let me pick any bike up to the value of a replacement, I went...

"Where e-bike usage is concerned, they can enforce whatever they like." well they don't enforce seat belt / drink driving / insert any other laws here either so i won't hold my breath :)

    Only in Malta

Power assisted power cycles have to be registered and insured - TM - timesofmalta.com so after spending a small fortune on my bike I now find techically it is illegal to ride it since insurance is a requirement yet no insurance company in malta will insure the bike

Finally, commuting to work on my E-Bike

Hi all, it's been a while since I joined this forum and what an eventful few months it's been. I'd been saving for 12 months to buy an e-bike to get to work on and finally purchased a wayel city one in march. Which promptly developed a fault and was useless. Since it was the shop display...

Hello from usually sunny but cloudy with a chance of rain today Malta

good points indalo, budget around eur1000, style mtb/touring bike with cross bar. Now the rains are coming most people in malta drive on the side with less potholes:)

    limited choices on this rock

It seems impossible to get an e-bike in Malta that isn't overpriced crap (but you can get a petrol motor to convert a normal mtb). The two bikes I've found from a UK retailer who will ship to me here are the Dawes Boost Surburbia 2012 or Viking Crossbow 7sp 36V does anyone have opinions on...
