Thanks for all the advice guys ,I have now fitted a 17a 36v48v KT CONTROLLER it's great at pedal assist 4 and 5 but heavy on 123. I do have a KT CONTROLLER 36v48v 20a also I used that for a while but noticed at pedal assist 5 it was really jerky I guess it wanted to go faster,but unfortunately...

To confusing for me I'm afraid but thanks I just thought it was a simple question of what maximum power controller I could use or should avoid before hitting problems.

Yes thanks but I'm still waiting for the answer what is the maximum power controller I can use with my 250w 36v motor rear geared hub I have at this moment a KT 36v48v 17a controller installed could I go higher or is the limit for my set up.

That's my question what would be the maximum power controller I could use with this motor without getting into any problems,at the moment I have 36v/48v 17a KT controller with LCD8 display

Aha well it's a bafang motor and I'm 74 kg and I use to travel to work and so on and I live in the Netherlands which is mostly flat terrain.

What would be the most powerful controller I could use with 48v 250w motor without having problems but would give me better torque or speed .

Yes I get 720W when in pedal assist 5 that's correct

I use two different types 36v 21ah and 48v 21ah that's the beauty of a dual controller.

I Have the Bafang 250-watt motor rear hub with KT controller 36v/48v 20Amp and it works much better than the stock Luishi controller which was a 36v controller it has now more torque more speed overall better control in PAS 5'm getting between 430watt till 475watt so I'm guessing I'm ok with...

Thanks guys it's working finally found the problem after hours of changing cable connectors,I think 1 or 2 of the Halls wires was not properly crimped so I guess it was a bad connection. I did the 6 halls wires all over again plugged it in and now PAS works and the motor is definitely turning...

Ok I'll try that then thank you and when you say 1 I'm guessing in P2 .

I know it's not the motor because I changed out the KT. Controller and put the stock controller back which is a luishi controller and all works perfectly.
