    Yes Gavin that is the reason, I've no wish to be that "high profile case" should I be involved in an accident of some kind (regardless of fault) and my bike is not legal as we have unfortunately seen in a few unfortunate cases recently.

    It was a lot of effort but thats done now and I just enjoy the results twice a day now

    I wish I could but I am not able to do this do this do to a knee and back injury, I can only move a bike with electric assistance, so this is my choice of how to achieve that.

    I agree with your points , it should be easier to register and the helmet rule is indeed ridiculous, I have a helmet that meets the standards but is designed for speed pedelec so its not so bad.

    It certainly would be easier and cheaper been but i've no interest in motorbikes or mopeds, I prefer cycling

    Shouldn't be a problem, I've already sounded out a motorcycle MOT place, they will do it, they are only required to test the things the bike should have, everything else is Not applicable
