Thanks! Added some better picks. The axle drops right in but I've seen people go deeper so the anti rotation lock washer is fully within the dropout, then again I've seen people go a bit shallower too.

Do I need to file before final fitting or can I get away with as-is?

I think I'm going to avoid Aliexpress purely due to shipping times. If I can get a suitable 8 speed cassette I can get started right away. Do I need an 11-28 cassette or 12-32?

Finally found some time to get back into the project. I managed to find an unloved Carrera Vulcan that used to be an ebike conversion for £100. Ideally I would have spent more for one in good condition but there isn't much available locally. It's a bit of a frankenbike at the moment...

From what I've read on the SWXH it'll do 750W continuously no problem. 750W is enough to get up highgate hill, at 20mph without pedalling. According to Gribble it's 850W to get up the steepest part of Swains Lane - 14% gradient at 15mph without pedalling. As a worst case scenario, under 1 mile...

I've got a Bafang G020.250.D/DC 13 pictured below and a 13ah 48V battery. Bike is a Carrera with Hydraulics. I believe the 2nd kit with the hydraulic break sensor is what I need. KT-17A controller. Can anyone confirm this is what I need? Can't find any UK suppliers without buying all the parts...
