    Snapping spokes on e tandem

Hi thanks for the reply. The wheel has gone out of true after its last spoke snapping episode so it defiantly needs a 're true. I will give you a call Monday. Max Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk

    Snapping spokes on e tandem

Hi Yes it does have the 13g spokes which tend to break off at the elbow so maybe a change to the 14g spokes would make sense if there stong enough for the loads a tandem puts though the wheel. Max Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk

    Snapping spokes on e tandem

I have A Trek T900 tandem with a rear wheel motor e bike conversion supplied and fitted by Woosh cycles. I am having issues with the spokes snapping, usually two per 30 mile ride. Is this to be expected with this kind of setup in a tandem? Any ideas why this would be happening ? Thinking about...

    Tandem conversion

Cheers will give woosh a call. I did note on there web site that the swx02 only comes on 650b wheels. I just need something to give me a hand up hills, on the flat I will tend to be around the 15mph mark, having a motor will open up more hilly rides for us :) Max

    Hello newbie alert

Hi The Captain ( person on the front) has all the controls. So the Bafang BBS can drive from the left ? How would the bike ride when not under power? I do like to pedal ( wife not so much ;)) I would plan to only plan to use the motor for long hills and strong head windows. Max

    Hello newbie alert

Hi Nealh I think it's possible to change the drive side but I think it would mean a group set change which is a fairly costly, it would be worth considering if the mid drive would work out better than A hub motor. Max

    Hello newbie alert

I was looking at that, it looks real nice but looking at the sizing I think it would to big for my wife who is 4ft 11" my current tandem has a 14.5 inch rear frame which is just right for her this is why I think a DIY conversion is the only real option, I am more than happy to be wrong as I...

    Hello newbie alert

Looks sweet!! I wonder how the mid drive system works with the stoker possibly controlling the pedal power, I know in my case I am putting in 80% of the power from the front.
