    "Which" magazine best buys

That was my thinking too. It was the first time I've heard of a Brompton wheel buckling.

    "Which" magazine best buys

I read a report from a guy named Neil who recently bought an electric Brompton. He claimed that his front wheel buckled after only 3 rides. He said that the weight of the battery and the motor contributed to this. I sent a message to Neil concerning his weight which he said was around 100kg...

Police say electric bikes illegal in Northern Ireland

I may go for a quality ebike with 16" or 20" wheels. As an OAP I hope to be left alone in peace. The horrendous amount of traffic on the roads is a real bummer.

Police say electric bikes illegal in Northern Ireland

I see ebikes being ridden in Belfast from time to time by brave souls. What an awful state of affairs if you can ride one with certain restrictions quite legally in the republic and in the rest of the UK but NOT in wee Norn Irn. You can burn the Irish flag on bonfires without hindrance from the...

    Freego Electric Bikes

I see that the Freego company has ceased trading and is about to go into liquidation. That's tough fro those who have recently bought new bikes from them.

    Another Journalist`s Ebike Rant .

When you think of how many large lorries, vans, buses and cars pass through London each day and he picks on bicycles which happen to have tiny motors. Let him research how many cyclists are killed in London each years verses how many are killed or seriously injured by ebikes.

    Desperate!

I'm 67 and have been thinking of getting a R&M Tinker. My problem is that the nearest stockist is 100 miles away. There are some good reviews of this bike on Youtube, but they are from a Canadian source.

    Riese & Muller Tinker City

The Tern Vektron S10 is in a similar price range to the Tinker. Has anyone out there had any experience of using this bike? Some positive videos of it on You Tube of Canadian or US origin.

    Update on N.I. e-bike regs.

The guy on the red Freego Eagle was out again this morning. He was at least 65 years old and travelling at about 12 mph. Not exactly a threat to public safety.

    Update on N.I. e-bike regs.

I saw two Freego ebikes on the go in Belfast today without plates. The Limavady case is appalling. When it goes to court it will be interesting to see what happens.

    Update on N.I. e-bike regs.

The British government should legislate on the issues that deeply divide the two main parties, thus taking them away from local politicians. I have a niece currently in the middle of her nursing degree course. I hope that young people like her stay and make a difference.

    Update on N.I. e-bike regs.

The situation with regards to ebikes here in NI is simply ridiculous. Forty years ago I could fly down hills at nearly 40 mph on a conventional bike without having to worry about 'the law'. Now if I potter along at 10-15 mph on an ebike I'm considered as some kind of threat to the public. With...

    Update on N.I. e-bike regs.

I am an OAP living in N. Ireland. I bought an ebike before I was aware of the law here. If I can ride one in GB or the rest of Ireland without running foul of idiotic laws that we have in the backward society that is NI, then I will continue to ride my ebike. I've seen several people on the...

    Freego battery unrepairable?

You could join the 'Private Freego Owners Group' on Facebook. Lots of input there from Freego owners and Freego management.
