Has ANYONE bought a BionX kit?

5-6000 miles I think. I managed to reset the mileage once without beig 100% sure what it was before :o Mainly full assist for that time.

Has ANYONE bought a BionX kit?

To clarify my point about 30 months: I did not notice any drop in battery performance in those first 30 months. The battery is still very useable now, at about 40 months I think it is, but does not last as long.

Has ANYONE bought a BionX kit?

I'd say the regen helps with braking all the way to a stop - it will bring me to a stop on any long steep hills around here without touching the brakes themselves - not very effectively on its own, mind you. If I'm out on a particularly long or battery sapping ride I'll use regen down hills...

Has ANYONE bought a BionX kit?

The best thing about regen to my mind, having done a few thousand miles on a Bionx bike, is the improvement to stopping distances which, on one occasion, I think saved me from T-boning a car that nipped out and then stopped in front of me. It also helps in icy conditions. Cheers Nick

Has ANYONE bought a BionX kit?

I've had a Bionx 350 for over three years, my wife's had hers for a couple I think. We bought them from NyceWheels in New York for about £1000 each and have been very satisfied with the purchases - good quality kit, great service from NyceWheels. Not cheap, as people have said, but I've recouped...

    Bionx troubleshooting help

Yeah, I didn't keep track of what I was doing the first time either :p It's not something I've experienced but hopefully it's easily fixed - let us know how it turns out.

    Bionx troubleshooting help

There are a few things you could check. Firstly, I would re-set everything that has been changed, making and testing each change separately rather than doing them all together - hopefuly you made some notes. There is a chance that you may have set something wrong, perhaps setting the level of...

    Bionx System

I just tighten the back wheel up as normal with a standard ring, open ended or socket spanner and haven't had any problems or noticed any differences in torque sensing.

    Bionx Conversion Kits

My wife's Li-Mn battery and my Li-ion battery are interchangeable on our bikes, and use the same charger.

    BionX in the rain

Hi Ron I've had a BionX 350 for a few years now and use it for commuting as well as general riding about, and I've not had any problems with rain. My wife has a BionX too and, although she doesn't use it as much, she's not had any problems with rain either. All I can think is that, as...

    Cytronex - calling Aldby/John

Thanks for that, very interesting. As an aside, I've seen a couple of comments along the lines of the BionX kit not being discrete which, compared to the Cytonex I'd agree with, but when it's compared to most other ebikes, I'm not so sure - can't say I'm bothered though, but people's...

    Cytronex - calling Aldby/John

Hi John, I see in HarryB's thread that you commented that the performance of the Bionx is better than the Cytronex - if I read right. I've had a 350W Li-ion Bionx for a few years and wouldn't be without it, but have been intrigued by the Cytronex. I'm not actually in the market for one, but it...

Ready made bike or Bionx kit?

As Flecc said, I've had my 350W Bionx some time now and am just as pleased with it today as I was when I first bought it, though I think I paid about £1000 for it, and already had a Trek hybrid to fit it to. My wife's bought one too but not used it as much and has a problem with the torque...
