Gazelle Orange Plus Innergy - Where is the controller?

This is pretty old, but in case someone bumps in to it, I would like to rectify some information. Gazelle made many different bikes with the innergy label. The first ones (2009 - 2011) had the controller integrated in the headlight. The front wheel motor had a 9 pins connector. Some of the...

    Help! Gazelle Orange Innergy

gazelle indeed stopped using those sensors. The newer ones have a metal encasing that contains the magnet mounted on a spring and the hall sensor. It outputs digital pulses that widen if more pressure is going trough the chain. The output is normally 12V and that voltage is pulled down. The pas...

    Help! Gazelle Orange Innergy

If it's the kind of sensor I have seen, it's having 3 wires. It's just the hall sensor mounted on a very small pcb and surrounded by some blue plastic for easy fixation.

    Help! Gazelle Orange Innergy

Maybe a bit late to the scene. The hall sensor is probably analog. If the chain is brought under tension, the magnet should come closer to the hall sensor and that should output a higher voltage. So it basically measures the force on the pedals and adjusts motor assistance relatively to that...

Gazelle Orange Innergy - intermittent loss of power assist function

Some of the gazelle innergy models had 2 sensors. One measuring pedal rotation (PAS) and another measuring pedalling force (TMM) Those gave motor assistance proportional to the own force on the pedals. With only a pas sensor, your motor starts to assist as soon as it detects pedal rotation and...

Gazelle Orange Innergy - intermittent loss of power assist function

The later innergy motors with 6 pins connector don't have hall sensors. Some bikes use a direct hub motor and others use an internal gearing (XT and X2 motors) and have a buildin freewheel. The motors with the internal gearing have a very low impedance winding, and most generic controllers don't...

Gazelle Innergy Battery Wiring - Help

Hi, i know this topic is nearly 6 months old but decided to reply to it anyhow. The third white wire from the battery is a linbus data connection between the battery BMS, the motor and the display. The normal voltage on it is maximum 12V. The devices pull this voltage to gnd to place data on...
