Sorry, you seemed to disappear. Apologies. Will delete that comment.

Brilliant name. Will check. Thanks. Is it decent on tarmac too? It'll mainly be road stuff but some light trail work too.

Thanks for that Persi! Do you mean the Reaction Hybrid HD? And, yes, any help most gratefully received. My mind is in knots!

Haha, yes. I struggle to be sensible.

No, the Kalkhoff I've found has a Bosch Performance Line motor. They also come with a Shimano motor but the one I found doesn't. It'll mainly be on tarmac with a little bit of gravel and trail riding.

OK. I've whittled it down to two bikes. Any preferences? The Kalkhoff I've found has a Bosch Performance Line motor. The Cube has a Bosch Drive Unit Performance CX Generation 4. The Kalkhoff has a weight limit of 170kg, the Cube 150kg. They're pretty much identical in price...

Ooh, that’s nice. Only in medium, though.

Thanks but those have made me all claustrophobic. And just remembered that my old open-faced snowmobile helmet (bought at huge expense from Big Heads R Us in the US) should suffice. But thanks!

Am I allowed a supplementary question? Where can I find HUGE helmets? I have a 65cm head and the largest I've found so far have been 62cm...

Any thoughts on this? 150kg limit. It has thru-axles front and back. https://www.bike24.com/p2296286.html

From Steve at the Ebike Store: “That is quite an old sheet but in reality, the bikes are tested for double the weight they get certified for. None are truly made specifically for the extra weight as far as I know but I am confident the one we have chosen would do the trick.”

Well, I've been told that this bike will suit: https://www.e-bikeshop.co.uk/Cube-Reaction-Hybrid-Pro-500-2019

Ha, noted, but I'm 150kg, not 350kg (is that even possible?). I've nosed around more and found a German company who do electric bikes up to 170kg weight limit. Kalkhoff. Still not sure that's QUITE enough.
