    sorry KirstinS your video will not run on my computer. I have the manual that came with the imax and its not much help. I can only find life once inthe menu of the imax and its 3.3v . The output voltage is also different to the screen with my fluke multi.

    Great sugestion. This needs looking at but the guy doesn't know what he's doing. He tells me he's tried randomly replacing parts,he imported from a scrap bike. He can barely use a multimeter. He did order some new cells but I suspect he will wreck them if the original problem is not sorted.

    The older Heinzmannn controller has a half voltage wire to monitor battery condition. You would have to disable this curcuit. There was a schematic on the kinetics blog showing how to do this.
