New Cube Touring Hybrid One - impressed

You are absolutely right! He's back to his happy, carefree, affable chubby self. Quite how long that will last, is anyone's guess - will they keep adding stents? Thank you, I'll mention over-optimism to him, when I see him next. I haven't had a heart issue, but a blood test a couple of years...

New Cube Touring Hybrid One - impressed

I wish a friend of mine would take his life more seriously - he had a few stents about a year and a half ago, I think it was five stents. For awhile... he lost weight, worried, exercised at the hospital gym, took the regimen of tablets... It took him quite a long time to get used to the drugs -...

Help! Woosh bike battery, need help with mounting frog battery, somewhere somehow, safely

BTW: Normal nuts are not a great solution, they'd constantly need tightening. Could fall off, causing problems. You really don't want your battery rattling about.

    Review Gocycle (G3+)

I'd buy that, if the lights were much brighter and facing front. Looks like great hi-viz.

Could you attach long rubber mudflaps? I have seen them somewhere on one of these threads... Aha! Here are the ones mentioned - these very likely won't fit your mudguards, but you get the idea: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00GWGC2CU/ Something like those might keep some of the...

Yep, that thing is a goner, when Mr.Crowbar comes out to play... Mine's a thinnish pressed aluminium bar, surrounded by plastic - it wouldn't put up much of a fight either.

@montwo Hard to argue with a crowbar. Is your battery base plastic? @Rileyy locknuts are pretty cheap, probably much cheaper at your local hardware store: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fixman-742547-Assorted-Nylon-Insert-108-Piece/dp/B01LXMKNLO/ ...just hold the locknut still with a spanner, as...

Cor, everything is black! Hard to tell what the heck was what! Ignore that first video I posted - that's for embedding a rivut into sheet metal. If this black bit is the pannier base: ..and you're trying to secure the battery base to that pannier base: Your bolts are the right size and...

If the hole for the rivnut is too big, the rivnut won't gain purchase on the pannier strut metal: If the bolt is too short, it won't reach the rivnut.

Is your paint breaking off, because of the magnesium frame flexing, more than the paint is capable of? Old paint usually becomes more brittle.

    Bike for a short ar*e

But you said you did bike tricks somewhere... or am I going senile? You've got a good cycling strategy for a long life. I should get off my bike more often and use the pavements on busy roads and roundabouts. I gave up cycling in the late 80s and resumed a few months ago, all electrified, and...
