Newbie advice - Conversion Kit for bike with Hydraulic Disc Brakes

HiI've just had it out for a few miles. I can't really nail down what the issue is. The crank is now secure so that's not the issue. My observation are: Everything 'seems' to work as expected until either 1 mile(ish) or I exceed the limit for the first time. However this could be entirely...

Newbie advice - Conversion Kit for bike with Hydraulic Disc Brakes

The throttle works up until the point I exceed the limit, then nothing until I restart the computer. Does the throttle rely on the pedal sensor registering movement I've now tightened the crank arm as much s I can (using a 12" piece of copper pipe as a lever on the Allen key). I'll try it...

Newbie advice - Conversion Kit for bike with Hydraulic Disc Brakes

Thanks for the advice everyone. I've bought the kit from woosh and installed it. Had a problem with a damaged wheel but woosh quickly replaced it. One thing I'm noticing is that whenever I exceed the limit obviously the motor stops assisting, however when I drop back below the limit the motor...

Newbie advice - Conversion Kit for bike with Hydraulic Disc Brakes

Thanks woosh, that gives me food for thought. Theoretically my talon should be a better base bike and lighter than (for example) the greenedge. Will that kit (and sensor) include everything I need or is there a chance there'll be non compatible parts that will need replaced?

Ah ok, like I said I'm new to this. What would be the minimum I'd be looking at for something half reliable? (I was basing the budget on the Woosh website, where they have rear wheel kits starting at £469 - thought there'd be cheap Chinese import options to bring the price down a little)

Newbie advice - Conversion Kit for bike with Hydraulic Disc Brakes

Cheaper the better really, probably a max of around £400 including the battery. Is that realistic? Any more than that and I should be able to get a complete bike through my work scheme after the tax (Ebike direct have offered their Greenedge CS2 Electric Bike for £850 under the scheme which...

Newbie advice - Conversion Kit for bike with Hydraulic Disc Brakes

Hi Forgive my lack of knowledge here, its my first stab at electric bikes. Initially I was looking to buy a complete bike through my employers scheme (Halfords Cycle2Work), but due to their admin and commission not many company accept their scheme. However, I have a Giant Talon 2.5 (...
