We pull a YakBob trailer when we tour in France. We have an Ezee front wheel kit 36v 15ah battery fitted to a Thorn expedition tandem with filled panniers and the trailer filled with camping gear. this is a heavy combination also we do pedel all the time. But no problems, carried a spare battery...

2nd part. It is an Ezee 36v 15 amp .I still have key switch,case and bms. I think new cells are called for. Any suggestions would be good. Keep improving and I look forward to hearing from you. Peter

Hi, We have a tandem equipped with Rohloff rear gears. Use an Ezee 250w 14amp carrier battery, front wheel drive.You can easily covert to 350w power, ( up from Hay on Wye on the Longtown road pedelling as well). We cycle tour in France pulling a Yak Bob trailer and its great for assistance...

Thanks John, that's an idea, I would have to move the controller forward as well so it looks like I will be in the market for a battery plus some connectors as the wiring will need to be shortened and I hope Monica will willingly give up the throttle.

Yes it's a Rohloff hub, I suppose I could really screw in the two setscrews to pierce the eccentric whether the motor would still rip it out. I(we) only use the front hub to give some assist up hills or into hard headwinds and when touring pulling a 'bob' trailer which is no problem. I suppose...

Hi All, Thinking about fitting a crank drive to my Thorn tandem. It would go into the front eccentric housing. If anyone has done it has there been a problem with twisting the whole assembly under load. I have a front wheel drive at the moment but a crank drive would be easier when splitting...

Good morning all, Has anyone had news of 'morphix'. I know he has been unwell recently but was hoping he is up and running again. I have tried contacting him also tried the commercial setup but to no avail. Peter

Been trying to contact Morphix but website will not load and cannot find email address. Any one help please. I have stripped the battery pack, just hope if I re cell, it will all go back together ok.
