Ah, I’ve worked it out. Well, fingers crossed and washers at the ready.

I've no idea what a dropout is, I'm afraid, but we'll face any hurdles when we come to them.

So, I ordered the wheel from Cyclotricity in the end. They took my payment, told me I'd get it quickly, via DHL 'Premier 24', and gave me a tracking number. Days came and went, DHL said they never received the package, yet Cyclotricity continued to tell me to be patient. I just got a phone...

Drat - I just noticed that delivery time is two months. Is there a place in this country that keeps such things in stock?

Ah, I see that link now, don't know how I missed it. I'd better look at the connector again and see how many pins there are.
