Should you have torque arms on each side of the wheel?

Hub motor axle does not go into droupouts

If I understand you correctly, it is paramount that the axle sits flush in the dropout or the wheel might spin out of the axle. I would definitely appreciate some input on good torque arms. So far, i have only looked at this one...

Hub motor axle does not go into droupouts

Thanks. What is the benefit of filing the dropout deeper first? At the moment I cannot even get the axle into the dropout, so I would prefer to file it wider first.

Hub motor axle does not go into droupouts

I have a rear mac 10t hub motor that I want to fit to a GT transeo 2. The bike has a quick release system in the rear hub and maybe this is why the dropouts are not wide enough to accomodate the axle diameter of 10mm. In fact, I cannot get the axle into the dropout at all. I know I have no...

Appropriate controller for my Li-NiMnCo2 battery

Hi, I just bought a 48v 10.4ah Li-NiMnCo2 holdermount battery. I already knew that the battery has a standard discharge current of 1C. Although I bought it from another seller, it looks pretty much identical to this (including weight)...

Suitable bike for a MAC 10t installation

Hello, I have recently bought a 2nd hand rear hub 500w MAC 10t motor in a 28" wheel, which I intend to run on 48v. I am now in the process of finding a suitable bike to install the motor on. What should I be concerned about when choosing my bike? For instance a would flat bar bike that already...

    Bafang 350w 280rpm vs Q100h 350w 260rpm

thanks to both of you for the info. q128h seems like a good choice, my only fear is that it will eat much more battery than the q100 and thus significantly decrease my distance. 1boris, do you know if you tested the 48v or 36v version? i have a 36v/48v controller with max 17a. Do i need to...

    Bafang 350w 280rpm vs Q100h 350w 260rpm

are you sure, the bms battery claims 30% more torque for q100h. of course i should compare motors with the same rpm to begin with. what is the difference in terms of speed and torque between a q128h at 36v vs 48v given that i run it with a 48v battery?

    Bafang 350w 280rpm vs Q100h 350w 260rpm

Interesting. But I thought the q100h 260 rpm had 30% more torque than q100 201 rpm?

    Bafang 350w 280rpm vs Q100h 350w 260rpm

Hi, I am considering upgrading my current 36v q100 350w 201 rpm rear hub. I am currently running the motor on 36v but will change to a 48v battery any day now. Where I ride is mostly flat but with strong winds. My current q100 is really at its limit when there is a strong headwind, which makes...

    Overvolting a 36v Q100 motor

Thanks everyone for all the replies. I borrowed a screwdriver small enough to fully open the controller without stripping the screws. The inside can be described as follows: 8 can shaped things, I assume the capacitors: 1 marked "CL" and "25v 220µF" 4 marked "CL" and "50v 47µF" 1 marked "CL"...

    Overvolting a 36v Q100 motor

thanks for the replies. I am hesitant to open the controller fully because the screws are somewhat stripped. I might give it a try again. I thought 17.5 amps was pretty much at the upper safe limit for this motor with a 48v battery. What would be a more appropriate max amp level?

    Overvolting a 36v Q100 motor

Hi, I am new to the forum and since two months I am also a first time ebike owner looking for some help. I have ordered a 48v battery to increase the speed on my ebike which is currently running a 36v q100 350w 201rpm in a 26 inch tyre. Having read some of the posts on this topic, I understand...
