Quick question that just occured to me. If you fit a de-restrictor to use off road but set it back to restricted at 15mph when riding on the road, is that enough to make it legal? I know for example if you fit a 500w motor and set it to only use 250w, it's still illegal

I get that but the cx is a more powerful motor no? Maybe more powerful is a poor choice of words given the 250w limit but it had 50% more torque at least

But this should mean that pedalling isn't any harder, it's just that the motor has to work harder to go faster and if I don't de-restrict it, it's surely not an issue?
