    Another cyclist dies in London

I was on a bus in Manchester this morning and 1 cyclist drove towards the bus on the wrong side of a busy main road, as the bus was pulling in to the bus stop - and tried to cycle between the bus and the pavement. Two minutes later, as the bus was travelling through a green light, again just...

Yet Another London Cyclist Death Today

I agree with Flecc on this one. I was driving (yes, in my car) into work a few weeks ago, waiting to turn right at a filter lane. Traffic coming in the opposite direction stopped when required and my lights turned to green. As an IAM member, I set off cautiously, making sure that no cyclists...

Do you live in the Manchester-Sheffield-Leeds triangle?

Another great option would be the Longdendale Trail http://www.visitengland.com/ee/idea/Longdendale-Trail.htm along the beautiful Woodhead reservoir.

    CycleCharge Meeting, 4pm today

I would have thought that a national supermarket chain would be the obvious choice - charge up whilst shopping, and most have cafes as well! Hope them meeting goes well - and Merry Christmas everyone. Elaine

Does anyone know a Redbridge Cycling venue located in the north of England?

There is also the Longdendale trail near Glossop. Beautiful scenery around there, close to the Snake Pass, suitable for Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire. And excellent Motorway links nearby.

    Have been stolen... again!!!

I am on Giffgaff - no contract and it is the cheapest way of using a mobile But you need a phone that will work with O2 network. Morrisons sell a very basic Samsung phone, brand new and unlocked for £15. It wouldn't attract many thieves either. I can send you a giffgaff sim preloaded with £5...

The NOT Gears, How Many is Too Many? thread

Afternoon all - just been reading through this thread. If she was still alive, today would have been my Gran's 105th birthday! She only ever voted once in her life - yes you guessed it - and said that she would never ever vote again.

    Panasonic/Kalkhoff crank play

Frank - I really wish you would shut up sometimes - sorry for being so blunt, but the reason I don't come on here so often anymore is that these types of posts are not helpful or what I want to read. I get fed up of reading perfectly good threads only to find them highjacked like this.

Advice please: Need a good electric bike for climbing hills and towing a trailer

Don't know if it is just me, but I would always take advice from a dealer endorsing his own product with a pinch of salt. They are bound to say their product is best, aren't they? Shame really, as not that long ago, it would be users who were extolling the virtues of their bikes, not those who...
