    sticky moment!

I got them from Amazon- https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07GXZFH1C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 although I note the are currently unavailable, but there a several others that look similar. I did have to do some minor surgery to the metal shoe to make them fit.

    Battery range

I have just bought an E-Movement Thor. 250w bafang rear hub motor, 36v 10.4AH battery. Did a 12 mile circuit of my home yesterday as my first trip out. Setting 3 for most of the time, 4 on the hilly clips and 5 on the hard uphill back to the house. With sensible use of the gears, and being...

    Suggestions for bike lock

Many years ago I came across a motorbike lock which featured the usual chain, but it was contained in a sleeve made from kevlar and ballistic nylon [the same as what chainsaw trousers are made of] Any power tool would snarl up on the outer sleeve ages before reaching the inner tempered steel...

New Lockdown Rules in Wales .

I'm here in wales and I never go further than a 2 mile radius from the house. With our maze of small back roads and tracks I can easily fit in 12- 15 miles [or an hours exercise] without ever going 'further' than 2 miles. Simples!

    sticky moment!

So, there I was, coasting down this big long hill near the house and when I went to slow down, the front brake decided that it no longer wanted to do it's job. Luckily the rear was working. Checked it all over and decided that I needed a new set of brake pads. Looking online it's definitley not...

Which UK couriers will ship a battery?

DHL deliverd my battery today, no problems. The box it was in was clearly marked as a LiOn battery too, with all the usual warnings on it.

    possible dying battery pack?

well, after a lot of too-ing and fro-ing with all manner of replies and opinions, I eventually took the plunge and invested in a new x-go bottle battery as a replacement. I duly wired it in and did a trial run. Success! Lets see how long it lasts. Now- what to do with the existing battery...

    possible dying battery pack?

so it looks like I'll be replacing the controller. There's a lot to choose from out there, but since this is a cheapo bike, I'm not minded to splash out for a top end bit of kit. On the other hand I don't want to replace my crapped out controller with another cheap'n nasty one. so...

    possible dying battery pack?

so........... I hardwired the voltage indicator into the battery connections and powered up the system. The battery showed 3 green. The led indicator showed a full battery. The controller gave a full bar of lights. I selected mid-range and off I went. The controller indicator lights almost...

    possible dying battery pack?

Ok. guy who has my multimeter has gone on his hols, so I bought one of those led voltmeter things off the bay, and checked the voltage- 100% ok, and this is after I'd been round the block a couple of times and had a half dozen resets. Plan now is to wire said voltmeter into the battery 'spikes'...

    possible dying battery pack?

cannot think that it is that, since all the key does is lock/unlock the battery into the carrier.

    possible dying battery pack?

Thanks guys. will check out battery when I get my multimeter back off the guy I loaned it to. I'll report back and see where we go from there. If the battery is ok, then it might be the controller. I note that they are'nt that pricey.
