    BBS02 throttle question

If you are talking about the thumb throttle that comes with the kit.. I think it is more of an on/off switch than a progressive throttle. The amount of amps it gives you depends on the P.A setting. I always start off in a lower PA before hitting the throttle, particularly at the start of a ride.

    Long commute question

I hate the way UK Duty Free shops are arranged these days, and the stench of mixed perfumes is horrendous. There's no avoiding them if you want to get to the gates. It must be awful for the people who work(ed) in those places.

    First build battery advice pls

I think I was lucky as my kit was pre-programmed with a half decent set of parameters. I dont feel the need to go inside and fiddle ( if it ain't broke dont fix it) with things like keep current etc, but may do in the future. The main display can change basic things like imp/metric or 5/9 pas...

    First build battery advice pls

I'm using a 13ah 48volt Haifeng battery on a 750watt bbs02 and easily get at least 20miles range out of it. Tbh I don't know what its range limit is yet , but so far very pleased with the setup. The way the controller is programmed , it gives me a short boost up to speed, then ticks over at...

    Black.

If you visit a forum called Bike radar . The helmet debate comes up with alarming regularity and has been going on for years (along with the merits of disc brakes on road bikes).. Unfortunately everyone thinks they are right.

    Black.

Exactly this.. Ditch the headphones and be aware of your surroundings at all times. Treat every vehicle like it will KILL or maim you and ride defensively. The eye contact thing is so important at junctions and roundabouts. Its saved by arse a few times over the years. This works for...

Chain ring adapter - Any good?

Unfortunately I took the punt, paid £12 for one and the chain line was just too extreme, with it jumping off 1st and 2nd gears. I might look at spacing the 9sp cassette out a tad if it will allow it, or just consign it to a parts bin for the day I build another bike. Cheers for the advice Rich

    Review MiRider One

I used to be a buyer for a large multi national.. I would say "don't trust a Chinese businessman.." After days of negotiation, they would say yes to everything, then they would still go and do their own thing and deliver the exact opposite. Highly frustrating! QA, if it can be swerved by...

    Best display for Bafang motors?

Yes they do. The hydraulic cut offs are part of the 1 to 4 way plugs coming off the loom, so completely separate from the display. You do get the little brake activated symbol though and the throttle works a treat

    Best display for Bafang motors?

I only have experience with the 500C and I really like it. When I first opened the box, it was like wtf! is that it.... But it is very clear in use and allows me to keep my Garmin 530 on the stem. The PAS buttons work very well, even with gloves on.

Chain ring adapter - Any good?

Apologies if this has been posted before Has anyone any experience of the 104BCD chainwheel adapters on ebay? Does the lack of offset cause problems with the chainline?

Help! Does BBS02/TSDZ2 fit my Cube Acid 2014 MTB bike?

113mm refers to the axle length. Its designed to go in 68mm BB's according to the blurb on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/BB-ES25-SHIMANO-OCTALINK-CASSETTE-CARTRIDGE/dp/B07JHQRM5G

Electric Bike for light touring - and Halfords

Halfords is a lot like KwikFit - Avoid like the plague, unless they happen to have in stock exactly what you are looking for at a decent price. You might get lucky and find a decent Boardman trained tech, but they are few and far between .. I cant believe they are still trading TBH. From an ex...

After ebike conversion, has anyone had a higher rate of broken spokes or bent wheels?

Certainly a nice looking wheel, but I'm sure an emotor would chew them up in minutes.. i have similar (but not as extreme) on my road bike and the rider weight limit is 100kg . I was very nervous of them for the first couple of 100 miles..

Review Bafang BBS01b 250w DIY fitting - traps, pitfalls and review

I like that idea with the single rear brake, also leaves me a spare connection for the gear interruptor, if I ever decide to fit one without resorting to a Y-lead
