    Battery care?

I assume the manufacturer of the bike has a manual with instructions how to charge the batteries....just read that and do as he suggests. (Conspiracy theorists of course will say that some manufacturers he will mislead in order to sell more spare batteries, but that sort of scam would be outed...

Help! Dongle on latest Bosch or Yamaha? Been told the software can tell.

Good to hear that, but the announcements of Bosch is just recent, so your software is not yet falling under the Bosch voluntary anti-tuning measures.

GPS Tracker for £2 a month

While you mention it, I have an "Aldi" Sim card from Germany still in my phone since 3 years and it works fine. I have a Blackview BV9000 Pro rugged phone with 3 SIM slots and no contract (of course, because I bought it online direct from Hongkong for 150 quid) So I left the SIM in there and...

Help! Dongle on latest Bosch or Yamaha? Been told the software can tell.

I found it again :) https://www.bosch-presse.de/pressportal/de/en/new-software-from-bosch-ebike-systems-protects-against-tuning-192393.html So - Bosch is "out" for me as well, not that i really want to break any laws, but every software has problems and I dont want to see me going to Bosch each...

Help! Dongle on latest Bosch or Yamaha? Been told the software can tell.

Bosch announced that big time a while ago, to make their engines "un-tuneable". They did that mainly in response to the harsh laws in France, where manufacturers can now be held responsible as well. And that of course can be a huge risk for them, so they most likely do that. How they program...

    That Pedelec is interesting...MODMO Saigon

One can do the science and calculate that quite accurate, how to do that can be found here in this engineering website. However, one can also use a more convenient way by using that range calculator, there are a lot of settings (as well as in real life there are a lot of conditions) and I found...

GPS Tracker for £2 a month

I just ordered a bike and this GPS tracker function is installed without any contract or monthly fees. I wonder how they do that, but probably they have a different system.

    That Pedelec is interesting...MODMO Saigon

I ordered it with the Shimano Alfine 11 gear hub, without one would be horrible indeed- even on flat terrain at higher speed the pedaling would be tremendous. Or up hill, lets face it, the 250 Watt sewing machine motor can't pull all, so a bit of leg support would probably shift me along nicely...

    That Pedelec is interesting...MODMO Saigon

The reasoning you mention for the front motor is indeed a bit strange :D The company guarantees, and I asked in chat, a 14 day unconditioned return policy with money-back guarantee. It's also in the order. Rest is the usual warranties, 5 years on the aluminum frame, 1 year on all other parts...

How do I waterproof the battery / controllor socket when not in use?

Picture would help. But as a vivid sailor (my other hobby) I found out that water always finds a way.. So, as suggested, the best way is to cover completely or at least a tarp over the pannier rack which you can affix with those rubber belts you also use for cargo on it.. Another precaution...

    That Pedelec is interesting...MODMO Saigon

On my search online I stumbled across this and really like it... MODMO SAIGON, the Company is an Irish one, but the Production is in Saigon, so they named it after it. It has got some unique gimmicks like the "modules" which one can change with a quick lock such as the front basket, rack, and...
