The control unit has come back and I've taken the bike round the block and all appears fine. We'll see how it goes. The real test is when I next take it to work. I'd like to think this will be the last time I have a problem with it - ever the optimist me.

My Xion has broken after 1500 miles / 5 months use! I've got the dreaded M in a triangle which says that the motor is broken andit has to go back to the shop. Has anyone else been this unlucky?:(

Agree with the comment about drag ON THE FLAT - although to be fair getting above 16 mph on an unassisted bike takes a lot of effort - so it's hard to be objective. Perhaps the Xion motor is so good up until 16mph it makes it seem worse than it is. I thought the X24 was seriously well...

Had similar problem on my X24. After intial panic I "rebooted" it by taking the control panel out and putting it back in again. Your's sounds more serious though.
