I've borrowed another one of d8veh's ideas to secure a seatpost held rear luggage shelf to my non-electric. It's a rear rack I've had laying around for a while and since buying it I have been put off fitting it because of the possible sideways movement with a good few kg's in it.
After reading d8veh's post a while back about one he'd fitted I decided to use the same principal and got to it with some aluminium tubing a drill and a bit of black paint. The only problem I come up with was to keep the shelf so low down meant I needed to half the fixing bracket which will reduce it's weight limit from 10kg's to a guesstimate 3kg's.
Thanks for the idea.
