Update to folks that care.

And I guess that’s all of you bar two. ( I’m not including you before you start Gerald )

You are all of an age where your partisan politics means nothing when it means something good to a fellow man.

We got our AIP.

What is amazing. Almost too good to be true is that we may get 1.79% held for 5 years.

And we had two other randoms saying they could beat anything we were offered...I doubt it.

I told them we had, and it’s true, we had that rate at 25 years but if we went with them we could get 23 years....

Imagine that.

It’s almost like you guys had.

I hope we go for Brexit. A lot of young people will see the whole housing market open. Up. And it will help this country move on from its stagnant pool thatcher created.
Correction a group of rich young people will make a killing temporarily. the vast majority don't have stable jobs that will support a mortgage, but for a little while well off young fakes will snap up bargains.
Don't get me wrong, I agree House prices are a swindle.
I care for the ones who genuinely struggle, not for the fakes who are relatively rich.
Wasn't the term "Champagne Socialist" coined for them?
We have a couple on here.
Full of virtue and optimism for rainbows and unicorns, not bothered what harm is done.

The Telegraph this morning
"
The EU's leaders are trying to humiliate Britain, not negotiate with us"

Really? Boris is refusing to reveal his plan to them in case they leak it to the public and you transmogrify that cowardice into this ?
How can they be refusing to negotiate with us when we won't tell them what we want?

They never learn in the Express
"
Middle class grammar boy!’ Jeremy Corbyn savaged for betraying the working class
LABOUR leader Jeremy Corbyn has been brutally savaged for betraying the working classes after demanding plans for a no deal...

Another one of their polls 96% agree with them of course, which is rather odd, what did the 96% really want Corbyn to do?.....the same as the lib Dem leader?
And why would they of all people want that?
The Brexit cause has benefited from his behaviour, they should be applauding him.

Also in the Express
So No deal was a threat we could use to bargain with the EU was it?
"
Brexit ultimatum: Macron demands Boris must deliver Brexit plan in 12 DAYS or face no deal
EMMANUEL MACRON demanded that Boris Johnson produces a Brexit plan before October or face a no deal Brexit.

Now it has been turned against us? some bargaining ploy that turned out to be.

Just heard a Brexiter on LBC giving their solution to the prospect of a No Deal (I prefer the term No Idea) Brexit. Rid the NHS of the overpaid consultants, and get the NHS to produce their own medicines in order to avoid the rip-off drug company's charges. And these people are allowed to vote and influence our futures.

I think we need a voting qualification. It needs to be a basic test of current affairs with a practical element to see if they can use a toilet without injuring themselves.

That's nothing, I heard a Remainer saying that will get a good deal then ask you to vote against it.

You really must try to keep up, Corbyn said he would remain neutral, does supporting Brexit cause deafness?
And since when was Corbyn a remainer?
You should be grateful for what the man has done in the Brexit cause!

that's perfectly logical.
Same as if I would yield to someone else an empty seat but would of course like him to decline in my favour.
Loser's consent means that remain has to offer a deal but would prefer a rematch.

No it's not ..it's more like you trying to get a seat that you have no intention of using, how much effort are you going to put into it...err not a lot.

You are arguing at cross purposes. There are competitive negotiator types who quibble over flys walking up a wall, because the competition is what drives them, and they want to best the other person..at anything. Then even when they win, they would just walk away..the prize is irrelevant

Good to learn, I'm very pleased for you. My only regret is that you couldn't have got to this stage about 20 years earlier in life as I was able to.

Pretty much what Boris is doing, mind you it's hard to tell if he's making an effort or a cock up by incompetence or design

I got base rate plus 0.25% (effectively 0.75%) on a tracker (that allowed overpayment without penalty) back in 09. The crash had some odd side effects.

These are all incredible rates compared to what we had to suffer long ago. Most of my mortgage experience is at around 6% with one period of four years at an unavoidable 9%.

Imagine the payments at that swingeing rate!

These were the downside of the lower house prices of very long ago, ultimately they could cost just as much.
