Hi All

Looking for some help, my mum has an old eBike Apollo I think it is on the frame. Anyway battery is dead and I am trying to find a replacement but most seem to be too large. The battery sits behind the seat post so needs to fit between the back of the seat and the frame in front of the rear wheel. The current battery is 36V 10Ah and around 8 x 9.5 cm, most I can see are about 11cm wide which is too big.

Any help from where I can source a cell would be appreciated.

Without photos, all we can do is attempt to read your mind. My telepathy skills are waning in my old age, but when I really concentrate, I see a standard silver fish battery, but they're 75mm x 110mm. Please let me know if I'm right.

It’s the same shape as a silverfish as you would imagine a rectangle battery that sits behind the seat post your powers of deduction remain strong. Silverfish is ok but I need one that isn’t 11cm width that’s hitting the frame at that size. so a rectangular battery c9x9.5x43cmmmax size

I can't understand why you guys write pages of script instead of giving us stuff that will help us to help you. None of what you're saying makes sense. All silver fish batteries are about 75mm wide because that's the length of the cells which always lay in the transverse direction. There are two versions of depth (for and aft). Normal is about 110mm, but there are some about 90mm. There are many different heights (bottom to top). AFAIK, there were no Appollo bikes with seat-tube batteries. We can't help you unless you give correct facts and photos of your bike and battery. No more text please - just photos.

Appollo bikes is a Halfords brand. You can get spare parts from them, but I'll be very surprised if they've got a narrow silver fish battery for an Appollo bike.

Yes we need pics .
One can get the smaller type Silverfish battery case but they aren't as common.
It is the same old , we are asked for help but have to try and second guess without a pic.

I can’t provide pics I don’t have access to the bike currently. I’ve checked Halfords.
I thought it was pretty simple ask I need a battery mounted behind the seat post which is no bigger than about 95mm in width Eg the gap where the battery sits behind the seat post will handle a battery of this size only.
All the batteries I can find which are behind the seat post are 110mm wide they won’t fit.
So I am looking for a rectangle shaped battery which is c90x95mm depth/width.
There are no other markings on the battery apart from the voltage and capacity.

I am simply asking if anyone has come across a smaller seat post battery
Thanks

If the ask was as simple as that the forum wouldn't need such questions asked, because one would be able find the item easy peasy.

I have seen them on Aliexpress before now.

If the bike has more then 110mm space behind the seat one should be able to fit a 110mm silverfish, new batteries come with a new fitting kit so one simply replaces existing fittings with new .

The smaller silver fish battery is MC-SOO5 designation and is approx. 85mm x 88mm.
