Halfords Carrera Crossfire e Battery cutting off...

Started having random cutouts myself. Seems to be when I hit a bump, but then the bms will repeatedly shut it off several times before allowing it to work again like nothing was wrong

Adding Throttle To An E-Bike & Problem

Sounds like the pedal assist sensor is screwed. Install a new one and try. As for throttle you'll have to see if your controller can take one. If not you have to order a new one with throttle input

Cyclamatic Power Plus Intermittent Motor Cutting Out

The cx1 is a 36v bike so a 24v battery won't work, as far as I know the only 24v model was the original power plus. In my experience power cuts can also be the fuse in the battery so check that out and all main controller connections, good luck!

    E-bike trailers help

If it's for a child get a weehoo, it mounts on the seatpost and works great. In the past I have filed a small amount of material from a hitch to use an axle mount style. Avoid chainstay mount styles they come loose too easily. If it's just for cargo there are seatpost mounted models for that too

    Carrera crossfire/vulcan tuning

Have been for another ride. It feels different with the sensor blocked, it still throttles down, but it feels like it's giving a gentle push after that, I think I can feel the motor humming, but I'm not sure. It's almost like it knows it's being tricked and has a fallback method to keep the...

    Carrera crossfire/vulcan tuning

Breakthrough!? I found the speed sensor, you can block the pins with a piece of latex, i used a popped balloon. The motor still seems to ramp down and stop but the mph on screen remained at 0. Can't say if it definitely stopped because it's so quiet, riding faster seemed easier but I've just...

    Play in hub

Just had my vulcan back from its 6 week check. I told him about a little play in the rear hub so he stripped and checked it. He told me it's not the bearings but the motor assembly, and asked if I tow anything. I do, but am pretty sure 6 weeks of riding wouldn't do that. Fobbed off?

If you are not bothered about warranty you could try and just cut the wire. If it doesn't work simply twist them back together and add a small amount of solder, finish with heat shrink or electrical tape. I would try but mine is due it's service soon so don't want to tamper just yet
