tranzx system shuts off? raleigh stow-e-way

My feeling is it's an intermittent power fault - I'd focus on connections between battery, cradle, and controller. The reason the bike totally dies rather than simply blips out temporarily is that TranzX systems perform a boot cycle when switched on that takes a few seconds... it's akin to a...

    First time buyer

You could probably add a kit to your existing bike, but if that's beyond your ability and/or you'd prefer a separate factory made e-bike, you need to consider what parts/service/support may be available - especially at the lower end of the price spectrum. Many of the cheaper bikes available...

Throttle for a Freego Martin city

I have the same motor in a different bike. If yours is anything like mine (i.e. Freego didn't modify the software/controller) you should be able to use anything that works with the common-place BBSxx motors, including the thumb throttles and the Apps for increasing/changing performance/parameters.

Which motor will get me up hills easily?

Even fit people have trouble trying to get that up hills - belt drive and no gears and a torque sensor. It's the worst possible combination IMO.

    Advice on buying an E-Bike

No, they only have the smaller wheeled one in stock... it says delivery 2-3 weeks for the bigger wheel, so that implies they're waiting new stock. Having seen and been impressed by the low-step version of this bike in the flesh, I'd go for an Eleglide too... it's a lot of bike for the money.

Raleigh Stow E Way Tranzx problems

I disagree. You may recall we had a muppet - sorry - a member here who insisted he could find no TranzX-able bike shops within reasonable travel distance of his home to service a TranzX bike for "his friend". Out of curiosity I spent maybe an hour calling a few, and of those who were prepared to...

    troy ebike special (vogue troy?)

There's no such thing. There are at least 3 profile/case versions of a Phylion rear rack battery, and each has 2 BMS variants: most are not interchangeable with the others. Post photos of the rear of the battery showing the profile and slots, and another of the battery label... that will narrow...

    Bms for phylion 36v

Plenty of bikes use the same battery but don't use the comms at all, and others like yours it seems won't run without them so it's going back to sleep. What we do know is some Halfords bikes use Phylion comms to display the battery percent charge, and we know dealers use the comms to check the...

    Bms for phylion 36v

IMHO, you're wasting your time. You're assuming your BMS is dead... have you tried manually charging the cells up to 42v? You're also assuming it's CANbus. IMHO, the age makes it far more likely UART communications. It's VERY unlikely you'll find a proper-fit/comms-compatible BMS unless it's...

    Bms for phylion 36v

Did you check your charger? It should measure/have an output of 42v.

    Tranzx Logix error codes

40.7v is low for a fully charged battery... fresh off the charger it should measure better than 41.5v. I'd open it up and check for weak cells/cell strings.

Each material has its properties, strengths and weaknesses, benefits and drawbacks... yet still both copper and aluminium is used in flexible power cables. It's not going to fatigue to the point of failure in normal service life otherwise it wouldn't be used/be acceptable to use. It's a daft...

Says who? BS7671 doesn't say anything other than it needs to be sized according to load. If you think about it, our national network of Pylons that run for hundreds of miles invariably use Aluminium at 400kv/275kv, and they're flexing and stretching in the wind, heat and cold all the time... why...

As Big Clive did say, the supplied lead was copper coated aluminium... most energy flows around the outer of the cable, so it's not anything like as inefficient as pure aluminium. If your VTOman supplies are anything like my Aferiy and Bluetti, they're not earthed anyway (only the bigger...

I agree 100% - sometimes product is defective, and sometimes the low voltage tracks haven't been separated by cutting the board... no doubt, there are some either willfully or ill-educated manufacturers out there. But consider this... Vevor is a major importer of many Chinese products for...

I've worked with many professional photographers in Central London studios over the years. The leads supplied for any product, even the most expensive, are often included in the box "gratis" - sufficient to make the product work - but they too are often just basic/"shite"/barely adequate, even...

You're right to question safety, but I've had reputable UK products spark too because the plug pins didn't connect tightly to the receiving socket. Like an e-bike battery, the pins spread, don't connect 100% securely, and overheat/spark/crack/burn. That can happen with everything/anything that...

I watched the video. I generally do like Big Clive, but his background is in fixing gaming machines. He's entertaining and making his living by critising cheap tat, mostly/obviously emanating from China. But sometimes his head is so far up his own arse he misses the bleeding obvious. Did he test...

There's nothing wrong with using Aluminium instead of copper... it's lighter and cheaper than copper and thus widely used for overhead transmission lines. It's less conductive sure (maybe 60%), but that doesn't make it unsuitable or dangerous if the cross-section of the cable is adequate. It's...

£245 Argos Folder Improvements - complete story

I think you're overthinking this. I've bought consignments of "clearance" product from Argos for stupid cheap prices before... they're just churning stock to make room for new season product.
