    Hiplok problems

It depends on how thick the post is, sometimes I can get the wheel in too, but not always. Couldn't insure it without the required standard lock, but might have to combine with a cable, which makes the very expensive lock pointless...

    Hiplok problems

Hi all, does anyone else have issues with Hiplok DX? I've had problems locking it every time. Asked a fairly fit looking and much younger cyclist to help and it took him 3 or 4 attempts to get key to turn in lock. Going to usenail varnish so I know which way round the bar locates. It locks...

First outing today . Main problem was getting lock to fit the post, just enough room! Panniers a bit tricky but just need to bed in as my fingers not too strong. Wimped out and rode it in automatic mode as I've not ridden for years so balance, braking and steering quite enough for now. Will...

Took ,or at least, tried to take a few out for test ride. First one I could only get one toe on the ground leaning at 15 degrees, so that was a non starter (fortunately it was the most expensive), second was better for height but only by swapping out suspension post for a non suspension saddle...

Thank you. I have dealt with many unscrupulous motor mechanics over the years and got very good at saying "thank you, I need to check my diary and get back to you" - then get a second opinion. I even took a dealer to arbitration when they tried to refuse a warranty claim for a failed clutch in a...

Fortunately, they provide up front costs for various levels of servicing, but will check on replacement battery. Hopefully my 64Kw car shouldn't need a new battery for at least 15 years!!!

Built in obsolescence - makes me mad! Luckily we have a few repair cafes round here, but I will check with them re servicing, and replacement parts. although I'm very much a leisure cyclist, will not be pounding off road trails :)

Have booked an appointment with surge bikes in Bramley, they specialise in e bikes and conversions and have pretty good reviews; they have about 5 small frame step throughs to try out, including Haibike, Raleigh & Cube within my budget and have good aftersales and servicing support; didn't seem...

Thanks, I suppose (overthinking!) if the ride quality isn't good, then might be put off, bit like a Ford Fiesta v Audi for example? I guess in my head, I had £2k to spend, so was looking in that price range. Will also need to be able to carry panniers and/or large front basket. Also trying to...

Thank you, possible contender, however as I have arthritic fingers and a thumb, was put off folding bikes as not sure I would be able to fold/unfold - so would just leave it assembled permanently.

I hadn't considered getting a very cheap bike, but can understand where you're coming from, only problem is this "Due to product upgrades, you may receive the bike with shock-absorbing saddle as a gift(random). This saddle will be 5cm higher than the ordinary saddle. But there will be a more...

Hi all, I'm looking to initially rent for 2 or 3 months, before potentially blowing a lot of money on something that may sit in the shed. Got a few health issues and also 5 foot 2, so many bikes seem unsuitable for a shortie. Most schemes seem to be for cycle to work or delivery riders, neither...
