I'm sure a call to Wisper will quickly help identify the problem. In the meantime you might like to try to identify whether the battery switch is a bit sticky. A little squirt of wd40 into the lock might help.

There should be absolutely no problem with refunding your voucher. It can take a few days but you will end up with a fresh voucher to use elsewhere. Your rights are exactly the same as any customer and you should not be out of pocket after you've returned the faulty bike.

You're right to suspect the battery but there's little value to checking individual cell voltages - they will balance up naturally in very little time when there's no drain. I think you might want to double check the battery switch. Perhaps bypass that temporarily.

We do, when it makes sense and I'm sure others would too.

Your existing battery should be compatible with a few brands. Why not keep that and buy a bike without a battery?
