The dual purpose tyres on my ebike are crappy Kenda that i expected to have to change, but they've actually been ok. Rated at 85psi max and i take em to that or slightly over. Being 700x45 they still give a smooth ride even at those pressures.

Yeah i guess nothing would stop that.

Jeeze Leigh, that pressure seems well low to me, maybe thats why your getting puctures. I run 85/90 psi front & rear on my ebike and about 100 on my road bike.

When i look at that post...... all i see is a salesman going blah, blah, blah, blah, blah etc etc. Alright mate, whatever.

Dont have slime or puncture resistant tyres on my bike...... not had a puncture in almost 3 years. Smug face. Of course, i've done it now....... That puncture fairy will be after my ass now.

I dont think either are better than each other, i just comes down to what each individual prefers. Its subjective. Just like chain v shaft on motorcycles, they both have their advantages and disadvantages.

I guess if i were riding a 60's Triumph, that bled oil from most of the seals, i'd have use for gunk too. Jap bikes dont need it, the only oil spots are around the chain sprockets and they're easily removed with a rag. I occasionally clean the chain with white spirit. But hey, i'm not telling...

I bought a micro camping stove from China on Ebay a couple of years ago..... It was 1p with £4.99 postage. A great deal i thought. Not long after i saw the same one, in my local outdoor/camping shop for £26 ! The shop must get them even cheaper than i did, cos they order loads at a time.

Not only do i believe that a lot of them are expensive, they're overpriced as well. I'm not the only person on the forum that thinks that, neither am i the only person that believes some dealers are profiteering using Brexit as the excuse. People dont have to agree with me on this, i couldn't...

A squirt of washing up liquid in a bucket of warm water seems to do me fine for all my bikes & m/c's..... It not even a problem removing brake dust on my car alloys. Is there some sort of special dirt that needs this pink stuff ?
