    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

I think you traders are a very touchy lot. After reading this thread I think you should all be restricted to a traders only forum. Trex is a decent person just trying to be helpful. His knowledge base is with Woosh bikes. So perhaps his posts will be biased towards them. When we have read his...

    How do you clean yours?

Pressure washer on full blast pay particular attention to the bottom bracket, wheel bearings, headset, cables, cassette and especially anything electrical. Keep blasting for at least 1 hour and everything should be nice and clean. ;)

Thinking about buying a burley trailer for Bosch ebike

I am taking my Woosh Kreiger to the Isle of Muck on Saturday. I will be towing a mule trailer, with all my amateur radio equipment in it. Visitors are not allowed to take cars onto the Island. So this is a good solution to transport equipment from the ferry terminal to the cottage, we are...

    Punitive customs handling fee

I buy a lot of radio stuff from USA, Russia and occasionally China. I rarely pay VAT or handling on the stuff from China. I have never paid a fee on anything from Russia or Ukraine, but I nearly always pay at least the £12 handling charge for items from the US. I recently put in a large order of...

    It's goodbye from him,

My Father had the same problem a few years ago. After 0ver 60 years of cycling his balance went. So he purchased a Batribike trike. http://www.batribike.com/electric-trikes/trikes/trike-20-v But he could never get on with it. It could be ridden so the frame gave a slight pivot or with the...

    Cycling kit - bewildered!

For winter use go for a ski helmet for your head, or if you are not bothered about a helmet, try a nice woolly bob hat. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ski-Snowboarding-Helmet-size-L-Grey-unisex-New-/161939981319?hash=item25b4600407:g:rSgAAOSwoydWjnwQ Gloves go for inners and outers...

Does anyone use a torque wrench on their bike religiously?

You can have mine Dave. I have had it for the about 30 years. And apart from MZ clutch housings (no key way just a tapered shaft) I have never used it. All has been honky dory up to now. Crikey torque wrenches eh! Don't need them any more my arthritic wrist clicks just as well when tightening...

Hoverboards Again, and Their Uses in Crime.

One of the problems with them is overheating whilst charging. With the potential to cause a fire. There have even been reports of one exploding. I presume they use lithium batteries. http://www.itv.com/news/2015-12-16/hoverboard-safety-fears-what-do-you-need-to-know/...

    Bar Ends

I too suffer from arthritis, the main reason for switching to electric bikes. It is mainly in my ankles and the electric bike as made that bearable, but the next problem was the pain in my wrists. I came across some butterfly bars and fitted them the other way to how most people fit them. The...
