There'll be a Sahel Comfort on display, yes. That's the one with the Brooks saddle and handgrips. Good-looking bike.

    50cycles shop in London

Good question. Yes London Overground currently allows cycles on its trains and conveys them free of charge provided it is safe to do so. Due to space constraints, cycles are not permitted on services between Willesden Junction High Level and Gospel Oak or between Gospel Oak and Blackhorse...

    50cycles shop in London

We put the first bikes in display in there this afternoon and I was surprised at the early interest - schoolkids and their dads stopping in their tracks. Someone saw me gliding uphill on an a Tasman before going into the shop and had to stop me to check how I did it. This is going to be fun...

    50cycles shop in London

I'd have liked to have done this years ago, but it's only recently the ideal property has come up. It also means I'll be cycling around 14 miles every day from now on, some of it through the glorious central avenue in Bushy Park, which is going to be excellent. Yes, we'll certainly be looking...

    50cycles shop in London

Hello, we'll be opening the 50cycles electric bike shop in Richmond, South West London very, very shortly. It's a great location with easy access to Richmond Park, the riverside and not too far from Richmond bus and rail stations. We'll have a range of Kalkhoff electric bike models (and maybe a...

    What size Kalkhoff step thru

Interesting. How much assembly is required? The Kalkhoffs come "98%" assembled - pedals off, handlebars turned.

Tour de presteigne - anyone go?

Hi Mike, more to follow on that model. I've not had a spare minute to put it up on the website yet. Very nice bike, the first full-sized throttle assist bike we've had since eZee, with a 37V 13Ah Lithium Polymer pack powering the 250W rear-mounted Bafang. 7-speed cassette. Range is around...

Kalkhoff Tasman - A Few Notes

Thanks for the detailed review Lemmy. Of all our bikes, it seems to be the Tasman that gets the more demanding jobs - marking out routes for endurance races in the Pennines, starting a new life on the back of a barge going around Europe, travelling all around the Highlands and Islands. And all...

What colour would YOU like to see on eBikes?

I remember reading a couple of years ago that Yamaha had come up with a solar-powered luminous paint for increased visibility at night. Sounds good to me.

The Sahel also has some very tidy mudguards - Curana C- Lite Aluminium composite. The seatpost is good too - uses a parallelogram suspension system.

Top Grades for Kalkhoff Electric Bikes

I was 34 when I started riding these, come to think of it. Good point tho, it's an area for improvement. They've given the S series bikes a more techy lookin chainguard, which helps set that range apart a little.

Top Grades for Kalkhoff Electric Bikes

And yet that's the bike we sell most often to people under 40! That and its stablemates the Pro Connect LX and S 'European' like a BMW, Audi, Mercedes or Maserati, right? I've not heard the word european used as a euphemism for dated before! I would agree though, I don't think the younger...
