    Stargate Universe fans, Heads up

I thought BSG was a mix of good and bad episodes too. it varied from brilliant to downright depressing. Stargate Universe is strange amalgam of BSG and Stargate and lacks the wit of the original Stargate. I don't much care for any of the characters, either, which is never a good thing. The ships...

Things on your helmet - dangerous?

That's a myth. The Vikings were never happy! :D

Halfords - not impressed. The Bicycle Workshop - very impressed.

No it really isn't. My wife had the same issue when trying to buy a pair of boots from M&S.

    Blimey, that's a bit harsh...

What an appalling tale. Thank goodness we're a bit more civilised and take a more intelligent approach. Just goes to show what happens when you let the anal-retentives get the upper hand.

Yes, either it's improving or I'm getting desperate. Probably both. I really couldn't get into Caprica though. About time we had some really decent new Sci Fi on the telly.

I'm not stopping for zebra crossings

It wouldn't make much difference hardly anyone reads it after they've past their driving test. The highway code is mostly employed as a tactical weapon to justify a good rant in the mistaken belief it is the law. :D

    Bike shop immune response

Agreed though perhaps todays economic climate is the problem - bike shops are getting too busy.

    Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meercat

yeah worth a try. I believe it's come a long way since versions 6 & 7. I haven't had to use the the terminal panel once to enter those strange Unix sudo commands etc. It's not far off Windows in terms of ease of use and GUI. Not much use for game players and it doesn't look quite as slick but...

    Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meercat

I've been meaning to ditch Windows for years. My poor old bloated and heavily burdened PC gets slower and slower ever day struggling to defend me against a plague of spotty herberts, malcontents, and criminals. With this in mind, earlier this year, I ventured forth into the often considered...

Thank-you to all- this Forum is great!

Reminds me of getting my first ebike a couple of years ago. A memorable experience and much of it thanks to this forum. Good luck Anna. :)

Do we need so many traffic lights?

Yes I totally agree. Not long ago while in the car and stopped at a temporary red light before and after a hole in the road I decided to ignore it. I could see more than half a mile down the road that nothing was coming. Not one person followed me but sat there just waiting for absolutely no...

    Great days cycling

Sounds like a great day out. Nice one Jim.

I'm not stopping for zebra crossings

The strange thing is that so many pedestrians don't expect you, as a cyclist, to stop. It's as if they feel guilty having to make you stop and slow down and would rather you just went whizzing past.

Norman Baker, Lib Dem Transport Minister, screws cyclists again

Electric cars is the way to go - if you're a politician. There's plenty of nice easy, short term, political potential in supporting them. My prediction is that practical cycling is going to get a lot more popular next year and the year after.

Not a big fan of this one but I did set the series record last week on the off chance series 2 might improve.

With the miles you've cycled (and in all weathers) you're well in credit. Enjoy...:)

    Knog Dutch Dog

I really like the Knog stuff. I have a Knog Leading Dog Handlebar Bag. Nice design, well made but as you say a bit pricey. Also the dodgy cartoon piccies and captions inside aren't to everones taste.

    It's disappointed me for years.
