    Brexit, for once some facts.

5 million journeys, Sheffield's supertram has over 12 million. Oh! Per day.

I didn't expect my opinions to go unchallenged, they were.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I look in this thread from time to time, but it takes ages reading all the unseen posts. I'm not going anywhere, i posted a question, yourself and others posted some responses, that's all. I was just saying i enjoyed it.

Sorry, i obviously didn't see the rules of engagement. It was just an opinion, i've given mine, others have given theirs, i was just killing a bit of time.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Yeh, so the 90% who don't use rail pay for the 10% that do, so they can buy cheap tickets, read, charge their iphones have wifi while someones drives them to work, while i pedal. i can see who benefits from the better service. Don't see how that results in economic growth, except in the rail...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I agree with most of that, but why can't the cost of all that be passed onto the end consumer. If the cost of being greener is too high to pass on and it could be proved that freight and passengers would use it, then i might change my mind. They could nationalise ebikes and let everyone pay for...

About 10% of freight is moved by rail, not sure what a strategic pillar of the state is meant to mean. I think the railways are a good thing, just not paid for by the taxpayer.

I agree, but i would still rather my money go to the nhs than a service i and many others don't use or need. The last time i used a train was in the early 80's, even then i only used the persil vouchers or the football specials to go to away matches.

Why should the tax payer put any money in at all, when only a small percentage use it. I would rather see the money go to health care. Nationalise water, as we all use that.

Why would you want to re-nationalise rail ?

    Kit controller

Booked a days hire on the gain, will see how that goes. I think it would be beyond me converting the gtech especially with trying to keep the belt line correct. Iv'e read a few articles where people who understand bikes have had issues fitting igh's, belts, sprockets and chain rings, trying to...

    Kit controller

Cheers for the explanations. Next question, do you think a 3 speed hub over an 8 speed, will be enough, baring in mind i'd be going from a single speed, which had me grinding up 10% hills and spinning over 17 mph and i'm from yorkshire and don't like spending money.

    Kit controller

While i'm asking questions, whats the difference between the 36 and 48v. Was looking to buy from woosh, his is the 48v ( could then ask him all the dumb qustions) but it's £240 more than getting one from germany (36v plus i presume inferior battery.

    Kit controller

So i just buy the tsdz2 and a battery. Whats the difference in the vlcd5 and the xh 18.

    Kit controller

    Kit controller

So you have to find somewhere to put the controller, connect it to motor, lcd, would look like the inside of a bt road cabinet after i'd done, with electrical tape holding it all together. Being colour blind won't help much either. Don't think this kit idea is for me.

    Kit controller

If you buy a kit with the vlcd5, is that a controller or just a display.

    Gtech front wheel conversion

Thanks, just looking at ideas to see if i can add gears to the gtech for under £300, looks like a front hub using original battery will be the easy and cheapest way to go. Or sell it and buy the orbea gain.
