The Kudos Stealth is 19kg, has a battery twice the capacity of the Gtech and has 8 gears. It's less than £1000. Could be worth checking it out.

I've only got about 2500 miles on the Typhoon as I'm splitting my time between 3 bikes. As to fitting the Tourer battery to your Uno, ironically, I fitted a holder for the Typhoon battery to my Tourer. It gives me more range if I need it. :)

I've never noticed any problems with the Tourer's V brakes stopping me. The Typhoon has cable operated disk brakes and I think I prefer the V brakes.

I've got a Kudos Tourer, It will be 6 years old in July. The battery on it is about 5 years old and still works fine. I've not noticed much if any deterioration in its performance. I've not had many problems with it. The twist grip gear changer failed on it and I changed it to a trigger...
