    Replace suspension forks with rigid

Now have the Decathlon pump and my forks as you can imagine were lacking air somewhat. Still waiting for the stanchion lube to arrive but will ride tomorrow and not expecting any problems. Thanks again all for your comments.

    Replace suspension forks with rigid

Thanks guys, that does make sense to me. I did try to compress the forks and lock them out but they uncompressed back to as before...lack of air? This seems quite cheap, would it be up to the job? https://www.decathlon.co.uk/bike-fork-pump-shock-absorber-id_3310286.html

    Replace suspension forks with rigid

Nope, no shock pump. They seem to work well enough and I don’t really intend to spend more money on them. I am hell bent on getting rigid forks now.

    Replace suspension forks with rigid

Thanks Gringo, you are far more knowledgable about this stuff than I for sure. Looking at the measurement picture, where there’s measures 465mm, my current RockShock’s measures 485mm as near as I can see. Does this mean the rigid forks will be too short, I certainly can do without twitchy handling.

    Replace suspension forks with rigid

Thanks for the reply’s guys, much appreciated. Your post Gringo was very interesting. Replace suspension forks with rigid

Hello everyone. I have owned my Cube reaction for three years now, and am still loving it. I have covered 11,000km on it now and have had no issues to date. It’s fitted with Rock Shock forks and I have done absolutely no maintenance on them, which although they are still working as they did when...

    Ebike front light

Hello everybody. I have a Lezyne 500 micro light on my bike and it sort of fits my needs but for one thing. I am very conscious about dazzling oncoming drivers, fellow cyclists and walkers and am afraid mine does. Its adjusted so that the beam is only lighting a few feet in front of the wheel so...

Bosch CX question for a newbie.

Now that's in my opinion a nice looking bike and definitely similar to what I'm looking for but I would have thought Smart Sam's WERE mountain bike tyres?

Bosch CX question for a newbie.

Thank you all for your helpful answers and others not quite so. There are an awful lot of bikes to choose from out there and as I think I have found the one I like best I will probably go for it. I will give the fitted tyres a go and see how I get on with them, and change them if necessary, as...

Bosch CX question for a newbie.

I am in the process of searching for my first ebike. I have ridden a few, with both Shimano and Bosch motors and like them all. High on my list of possibles is a bike fitted with a Bosch cx motor. It’s a mountain bike. I ride cycle tracks mostly and road, possibly 60/40 in favour of the cycle...

    Shimano STEPS range.

Gaz Having read your review and others on the Coniston model I am veering towards buying one myself. Perhaps a silly question but in your pictures of the display there is what appears to be a light symbol in the bottom right corner, can this connect to the display and battery to power a...

    Shimano STEPS range.

Some very interesting comments there, thanks all for contributing. I was tyre kicking in a local bike shop today...just out of interest, like you do, while my wife waited outside in the car, needless to say when I eventually left the shop for some weird reason she was grumpy??? They didnt have...

    Shimano STEPS range.

Thanks for the answers guys. Gaz…especially interested in your comments regarding range, also about being able to ride as far as you like with the battery off, please bear in mind I know nothing about ebikes, but always assumed that was the case. When I asked the salesman in the shop he...
