Another alternative is to buy a bike that fits and then convert it. That way you get a geometry that actually works for you. I've just finished my conversion on a 62cm Surly Cross check and it is great having a large enough frame.

Thanks d8veh. I did actually order a wattmeter before I realised that the LCD3 shows power so never bothered connecting it in. I'm now regretting having soldered all connections and covered with heat shrink. Ho hum. Out with the cable snips and solder sucker!

Hod, if you want a road frame I'd recommend a cyclocross - space for bigger tyres than a standard road frame. I've just finished my build using a Surly Cross check and managed to squeeze 700c 42 wide tyres plus mudguards in. With no suspension bigger tyres are very useful for a comfortable ride...
