Great stuff. Be interesting to see if I'll also need a bb bar... Is that a spring loaded chain tensioner? I haven't got one yet. I'm hoping its an off the shelf item.

    Cannondale CX700 Stoke Monkey Conversion

Crank added and now happy with the positioning of the motor and battery. On Monday I'm off to get the bracket made by a local small engineering company. Getting closer :)

Working out where it can go: Where I've cut for the drop outs is no good. The motor would rub against my legs.

    Cannondale CX700 Stoke Monkey Conversion

Thanks Dave. Yes. I got all the stuff. The complete bike was my first electric bike supplied by Cytronex. I then stripped off the electrics and installed on my recumbent. Now going back but with a difference ;) I think the CX700 will perform better with a Spoke Monkey treatment.

    Cannondale CX700 Stoke Monkey Conversion

Hi All, Haven't been on for a while and can image how much I have missed! I'm getting my CX700 back on the road and am opting for another Stoke Monkey conversion following the qualified success of my recumbent project. My question relates to adding the extra chain ring. Does anyone know if...

    Rear view camera

I use a PSP games console with a USB camera on the end of a cable extension. In some conditions it is very very good. But as Flecc says it is "ineffective under many lighting conditions like direct sunlight" ...however, I still use it and will one day solve the lighting problem. But, be warned...

ebikes make things like this possible

Twitter / sarahevans180: pic No.2 http://t.co/N64aa Not sure who started the Canopy thread (I'll have a search in a minute ) but this was the inspiration that led me to children's party entertainer. Note the 7 bottles hanging around my neck. These are soon to be 8 and form a rather nice display...

    gopub2pub - free beer!

The route planning is proving a challenge. Its very tempting simply to make a bee line to the pub. I'm noting places of interest like churches, ponds and .. oh yeah .. other pubs .. (although yesterday while doing the "bell2bell" between The Eight Bells in Alton and the The Blue Bell in Liss I...

    gopub2pub - free beer!

One of my local pub2pub rides is the "horn2horn" which is from The French Horn in Alton to The Horns in Crondall, Nr. Fleet. As with all my rides I am the only cyclist doing them! ... which is fine. The pubs are always happy to see me regardless of the success of my campaign. I did, however...

I'd get it just for the electric "kit" and put it on a another bike. What is the history of the battery?

    Cytronex

My understanding is that it is ok to recharge after a period of about 15 mins. Add to that my average charge time of about 1:10 mins and you've got yourself a nice lunchtime break. just enough time for a light meal and some Swiss ale! .. The charger is about 1kg which IS a bit on the heavy...

    Cytronex

I've got 2 batteries. I used them a couple of times for some long trips. See this thread: http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/electric-bicycles/9439-cycling-travelling-train.html The battery weighs about 2kg. I would suggest you fill a water bottle with sand or something, experiment with...
