Thank you again, but how can you change the rear sproket if it has a Nexus rear hub with the gears exposed?

I just saw a U-Tube video of the Flyer S, that shows it going up a small hill, without the assistance of the rider pedalling. I thought these bikes with Panasonic systems could not do this?? (YouTube - Flyer serie S)

I am just looking for a simple YES or NO answer! If NO, then I may be able to rationalize that wearing will may save me in a similiar predicament. If YES, then I would like to know why and if the helmet did not save his head injuries. This is not that difficult of a question.

What I meant by "gear drive" , was that there is no chain. There is a sealed gear tube from the pedal unit directly to the rear wheels. This is the first that I personally have noticed on an e-bike.
