So if I used a deeper and wider tyre on a 26" wheel it would compensate the loss of diameter in wheel size.

Hi folks, I was wondering if anyone had converted 700c wheels on a ebike to 26" wheels ? Would it have an effect on the speedo and output on a Bosch Activeline Plus Motor bearing in mind the magnet would still be in the same place as regarding the sensor? Cheers Steve.

But at the end of the day he should not have even been on the road, the bike was illegal..

Wow that is really harsh and thoughtless, at the end of the day the guy was riding an illegal bike which should not have been on the road at all, and then ran off after the accident. I wonder how you would feel if one of your loved ones was killed by an illegal driver?

Actually mopeds and some motorcycles are restricted to certain power output and licencing restrictions, as for registration/tax/mot on its way that will be down to idiots like this and all the other fools who think it is ok to use dongles etc and de-restrict their bikes and openly brag about it.

I like you had a very similar situation many years ago on a motorbike as well when a pedestrian just stepped out, however like you stayed at the scene. This guy didn't so deserves all he gets add to that his bike was illegal as well.

Well hopefully that will be the result in this case, It probably won't stop all the other clowns riding around on illegal ebikes though.

The bike was illegal, he ran off, Guilty end of story, if this had been a disqualified car driver doing a hit and run with a cyclist everyone would be up in arms.
