Can you give LibreCAB container parameters & battery dimensions and ask it to populate the container with batteries optimally? If not, is there any software that could this or do you just manually play around with the software for bit?

Not sure which cog you're referring to with 9th (the largest?) and how many speed your cassette is (9?), but I've always preferred SRAM cassettes to others at the low & mid price ranges. However, there's a lot more choice in recent times and there are a few brands I haven't tried.
