thanks for your input everone, been away on holiday, spent a few days playing on the North Wales Cycleway on the recumbent tandem. I'll get back onto the battery soon. Just moved house, downsized from 3 bed semi to a bungalow, hence the trip to the tip and finding the battery.
Thanks, hmm, wonder if it's worth the expense of a new charger. Perhaps I'll try it out, see how it lasts and then source a charger if it's good for a few miles. I fitted a cradle for my other down tube 17ah battery on the bent rear rack so I use that normally. Does anyone have an old compatible...
Eyup. Just got back from the local tip, dropped some furniture in the recycling cabin and found a phylion 8.8 rear rack 36v battery. The faeries moved it to my car, mysteriously.
Took the lid off, it's charged to 40.8v. however it has a multi pin charging socket that would require a dedicated...

I have a kt controller 24a, for the recumbent tandem, it specifies "light regeneration" on the label. I have noticed it kicking in on longer descents when the battery isn't full. It's operated by switched brake lever. Not travelled far enough to fully test it.
I have a 5 speed hub Brompton, fitted a woosh kit last year. Riden in all sorts of places, canal towpaths , tracks when dry ish.
I used to have a Bickerton bendy bike, now that was a strange beast, light, but flexible!
I run a 36v bs01b, I fitted a 42t front cog to cope with the steep hills on bridleways around me, there have been no issues with any hills on roads, even pulling my trailer. The kit came with a 46t cog IMMSMR. I tweaked things like the Keep Current and current control settings for a better ride...
You need to post this somewhere more obvious, it's hidden at the end of a thread. Hope you aren't just chasing knocking copy though. What paper is it for?
