    New bike

You could also look at the Wisper 806 folding bike. We had a look at that as well as the 705 for my wife, who’s 5’3”. She chose the 705 in the end, but to be honest, the build quality on both bikes was excellent. But as you said, getting hold of any eBike is hard now due to demand...

    New tyres are good

Had my Raleigh Motus Grand Tour (step through) for a while now. The tyres it came with were the Mitas Flash and we usually ride on the road and cycle tracks. My wife got a new Wisper 705 recently, which came with slightly more aggressive looking tyres, smooth central part and a knobly outer...

Stolen Raleigh Motus Tour Electric Bike from outside Sainsbury’s in Stapleford, Nottingham on Saturday 27th February 2021 at 2.30 pm

i don’t understand why you would leave your key in the unlocked lock, walk away and hope that no-one locks it and removes the key.

    Where are Wisper Bikes Manufactured?

budsy, you are very deluded and bitter. All this happened because and after Brexit, think again and do do research, rather than just being politically partisan.

    Rear wheel lock.

If you leave the bike unattended and out of sight, what makes you think, “I know, I’ll not lock the bike and leave it in a vulnerable condition, so that anyone can play with it”. Even though it wasn’t stolen, it was still a pretty numpty thing to do.

    controller upgrade

Why not get a local eBike technician / engineer who’s competent to do the work. That way you can discuss your requirements and options with them. So you get want you want, rather than keep spending money on items that you don’t know will work.

    Lost power

Sorry, I called the display unit the controller. As advised, both the display units, one on the bike and old one when reconnected display the same problem, in that the first LED flashes as in showing a low Battery.

    Lost power

The Red wire was severed and the Blue wire had a nick in it, so they may have touched. I had the original controller, as this was supplied damaged, so they sent a replacement. I swapped that over and still the same.

    Lost power

We have a Cyclotricity Sahara. This has a front wheel motor and the battery on the pannier rack. Yesterday the pannier rack came loose and slipped down the mudguard. This put tension on the cable / controller enclosure on the battery. We managed on the roadside to put it back together to a...

Ebike brake lever with power cut off

Thanks for explains that. Next question is. If we fit standard brakes with a lever adjuster, how do you fix the HWBS to the lever body. Is there a recommended pairing of a standard brake lever and a HWBS. I’ve checked the Wuxing cable and it appears to be two wires, so is a case of splicing the...

Ebike brake lever with power cut off

The bike is a Cyclotricity Sahara 16” frame. You mention about adding standard brakes with no power cut off. Why is a power cut off needed when there is no throttle. The motor is a hub type fitted to the front wheel, does it only work when you are pedalling.

Ebike brake lever with power cut off

One of our ebikes has Wuxing power cut off brake levers. Unfortunately the distance from the lever to handle is a bit too far for my wife to use safely/ comfortably. It has no lever adjustment. Can you get ebike power cut off levers that can be adjusted for brake pull or are there ones with a...
