It takes me back to gaming in village halls with other nerds playing doom, unreal tournament and quake. i remember spending over £400 once on a graphics card (god knows what that would be now). Everyone comparing motherboards, processors etc.

If you like tinkering macs are not for you, nor do they compare power wise with a pc similar price, whether you build or not. If you just want a better operating system :), simplicity and ease of use, get a mac.

Works with mac no issues. I used to be a big pc windows fan, having build about 5 pc's over the years, that hobby has left me and hence i wanted a pc that was simple to use, worked and doesn't get infected as often. Hence we have all macs in this house and so far fingers crossed no issues.

Good choice. The best tyre by far, for puncture resistance are marathons mtb, but i found they were too big a compromise vs grip etc. The second best for punter resistance are smart sams with guard, but they still puncture now and again compared with marathons.

Definitely update it and your edge. Install Garmin express from Garmin website. Plug in your edge first, sync and it will update it. Then plug in your varia and there is an update for this too. Always keep it up to date and check every month our so as some updates have important features /...

Edge 820 which i think is the latest version, but you can never keep up with these things :)

Went for a night ride and it works well.

I will only be using the varia, providing it proves reliable.

Gazman, Hat off to you. I must say your much more patient than I am. I would not be happy and insist on new battery / bike. Sorry this is just me, it's a lot of money and needs to be fit for purpose, so the shop / manufacturer need to sort this out for you urgently and without you keep bringing...

Agree, I have a rear head light, rucksac light and bike light. As well as three front lights. Funny as drivers are thinking what the hell is that!

I've bought the Garmin Varia after reading reviews from here. I'm waiting delivery. The problem I have is constantly looking over my shoulder, which is in itself a bit dangerous, especially with all the potholes we have here in Kent.
