    bbs01 programming changes not implementing

Mmmm, yes hard read :p Seriously though, I don't think Bafang would change the hard coding dramatically. Some settings cannot be changed above a certain level, such as the PAS 'start current %', which will max out at 50%. IIRC, I have my PAS 1 set at 10% speed and 100% current, which when...

    BBS01

I've had a look a the data sheets for both of those cells and there's not much in it performance wise. Even though the LG appears to be the slightly better cell, the pack is only 5P compared to the Samsung 6P pack. Therefore, I would say both packs would perform fairly similarly as they empty...

General News Royal Mail trials e-trikes

My only concern, for the postie at least, would be the bikes getting nicked. Did posties use any anti theft methods to protect the bikes on their rounds, or did they rely on hoping it wouldn't get pinched?

    BBS02 proper settings for pedaling

Has anyone figured out what the 'Work Mode (Crank Speed / Wheel *10)' setting is for on the 'Pedal Assist' page? See post #5 for reference.

    BBS01

+1 on this. Don't be fooled into buying a Samsung 29E pack, because you save a few quid on another battery with better cells. They will be good for the first 1000 miles, then deteriorate badly. False economy IMHO. I thoroughly recommend Samsung 30Q cells or equivalent ;)

I actually like the look of the Cube better, but whatever you choose, I'm sure it will be a great bike :)

    BBS02 proper settings for pedaling

Have you tried upping the start current (50% is max, I believe) The controller ramps up from the start current, so depending on which PAS display level you are on, it may be only assisting at the beginning of pedal rotation with very low amps. This could be perceived that the motor isn't...

    BBS02 ERROR CODE 30 - help needed

Check that the wheel spoke magnet is passing close to the speed sensor I had this issue once, and the symptoms were that the motor ran at max. After drying out the throttle connector, the problem resolved itself, but it took me a while to figure out it was due to a drop of water inside the...

    Bafang BBS01B Battery

More speed, acceleration or hill assist? If you can post pictures of your settings on the 'Basic', 'Pedal Assist' and 'Throttle' pages of the software, via the cable, then we can have a look and see what needs tweaking, to allow similar operation of PAS and throttle.

    Bafang BBS01 changing RPM

If it were me, I wouldn't risk changing the internals to try and get what you want to achieve. I would just go for the BBS02/36V/500W and flog the 250w to cover some of the costs. BTW, the messenger has been shot, you may never see KirstinS again :D:p:D

    Bafang BBS01 changing RPM

Have you had a look at your programmed parameters with the programming cable and software? Even though the RPM appears to max out at the lower end of your preferred cadence, a low 'Keep Current', lower than 100% speed limit or lower than 100% current limit, could mean the assistance fizzles out...

    BBSO1 diagnosis?

As others have said, cooked controller. 46t x 11t at 28mph will result in the controller running at maximum. After replacing the controller, you should consider dropping that chainring down to a 42t. Will shave a few mph off your top speed, but will be easier on the controller.

    Hills and Ebikes.

Although I'm not going to recommend any one particular brand of bike, I would say that if the hills are moderate, then a hub motor is fine. If the hills are monstrous, then a crank/mid drive would be better suited. Just my two pennies worth :)
