    Loose recharge connection on battery

Hi David When connecting the charger to my battery last night (I have 905se Sport purchased late last year, so still under warranty), I noticed that the charger connection on the battery seems very loose - you can feel it moving from side to side and in/out. I seem to remember reading about...

    Wisper panniers.

Hi eddieo I had a problem with my 905se Sport soon after buying it, where the handlebar locking mechanism was broken: http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/wisper-bikes-clinic/2704-handlebar-locking-mechanism-broken.html ETS London sent me a new handlebar stem which solved the problem. I...

    'Pop' goes the Wisper.

Hi David I'd be very interested in trying the new brake levers if at all possible? I've still got the Promax too on my 905se, and from what Phil says I should see quite an improvement just by changing the levers. Anyway, grovel grovel! Regards, Howard

    Cycle helmet wearers are reckless

This is always such a contentious issue, isn't it? I can see Flecc's point that this thread was about the attitude of those who wear helmets, not the pros and cons of wearing them. However, it's a very subtle difference, and it was pretty much inevitable where the thread would go! I've found...

    Wisper 905se Sport controls...

Not sure who your actual supplier is, but please rest assured that Doug and David at Wisper have never made me feel like a nuisance - they have always gone out of their way to make sure I'm happy with my Wisper, and as far as I know this is the same experience that all Wisper owners have had. I...

    Wisper 905se Sport controls...

Hi Rog I found a post from David Miall at Wisper that may help: 'We have a 905 on trial at the moment using the Panasonic system and we really don't get it! It seems so much less efficient than the simple cadence sensor and a hi/lo power switch, when combined with the throttle this allows...

Is there anyway to block certain users posts from appearing with this forum software?

At least most of the posts in question are fairly harmless. So far, anyway.

    Lights, music, Nirvana.......

Hi Phil Thanks for all the information - very helpful. I do have a front disc brake - the standard Promax fitted on the Wisper 905se Sport, so I would need to fit an adapter or the Shimano centre-lock disc you mentioned. I was thinking about changing the disc this year anyway, as the Promax...

    Lights, music, Nirvana.......

Hi Phil Thanks for posting the ultimate solution! It sounds great - I'm going to make it a project this year, so that I'll be ready for next winter. I really like the idea of not having to worry about batteries, and not having all the faff of removing/replacing lights all the time. Did you...

    Getting a wheel built...

Hi Steve I don't have any idea how much it would cost, but you could try calling Mike at the Electric Transport Shop as he is quite near you - 183 York Way (corner with Camden Rd) London N7 9LN Phone: 0207 4822892. That's where I bought my Wisper, and he's been very helpful with any issues...

    How far do you ride?

I do a 47 mile round-trip (Brighton->East Grinstead) 3 times a week, so about 150 miles a week including non-commuting stuff. I do that on a Wisper 905se Sport, and love it! Howard

    DIY Halogen Lights

Hi Citrus Thanks very much for posting those pictures. I ended up going for one P7 Lenser, which is doing quite a good job. I'll probably get a second one at some point, but it's definitely dong the job for the moment. Thanks for the help! Cheers, Howard

    Wisper throttle and wiring

I'd be very interested in this as well. My throttle is still broken - has been for 4 weeks now, as I understand Doug has had trouble with the last batch of spare throttles and has been waiting for the next lot to arrive. The throttle 'switch' functionality described by Phil below woud be...

    Got my wisper!

No - I found the same thing, so my Kryptonite lock has to go in the pannier You should notice a difference with the throttle! An easy test to check it is working is to put the bike on the stand, rock it on the stand to lift the back wheel in the air, then twist the throttle - the wheel should...
