    My first DIY e-bike

I think you'll need to double your budget for the type of build you're thinking of and that's before sourcing a suitable frame. What are your expectations when it comes to top speed, range, bike weight and type of riding?

Does Anyone Use A Portable Light Weight Generator To Charge Up?

50mph with rim brakes and no suspension means you're either stupid, mental or have balls the size of watermelons!

Does Anyone Use A Portable Light Weight Generator To Charge Up?

I've been eying up the Honda EU series generators for years, but could never justify their price tag. Your post led me to take another look and it appears that you can pick up a used EU10i for anywhere between £3-450, which will likely give more service life than I'll certainly ever need.

    Bafang gear sensor

The gear change sensor is just a switch that disables the motor through the brake cutout input, hence the Y-splitter. You cannot simply use a regular inline brake sensor though, since they contain a single hall sensor and therefore only works when the cable moves in a single direction. The gear...

Charger - Mean Well HLG Led driver

I've heard lots of good things about the Gophert bench supplies, but as a portable charger, they're not as suitable as Meanwell HLG power supplies. The HLG series are fully potted for protection against moisture and shock/vibration. I know of a few people who have each had them permanently...

PDQ wheelchair trike direct drive advice

    18650 cell question

If you've only got a couple of odd Sony cells, you won't be able to do anything with them unless you plan to build a 2S or 3S pack. Best forget the idea.

    18650 cell question

It's a perfectly reasonable strategy as long as your parallel groups are of equal capacity. How many cells of each type do you have? What sort of pack configuration do you have in mind?

From what age can you carry a baby ?

I carried my firstborn in a trailer from the age of 18 months, but she was a late developer with poor core strength. Helmet worn at all times, buckled into the trailer harness. My younger daughter seems particularly strong for her age and I can definitely foresee sticking her in a trailer at...
