    Brexit, for once some facts.

Why would we need driving permits all of a sudden? Non- EU residents already drive in the EU without a permit and EU residents drive in Non-EU countries without one. What’s the problem? I think many of the “leaving problems” don’t actually exist. They are manufactured.

Maybe life is too easy and too lucrative on benefits? Why work 35 to 40 hours a week to earn the differential between £350 (minus tax, NI & other stoppages) and benefits? It makes no sense to do so. I’m not blaming you, that’s not a bad starting wage & it’s a job where a person could learn...

I think we are capable making our own Ebikes ,and there is no technical reason why they shouldn’t be a good product. The problem would be financing such an enterprise. Unless an investor can double their money in 20 minutes, no one is interested.

Or just don’t bother buying one. £2K for a Chinese bike is out of the question. At least the Masters of the EU will be pleased, no viable alternative to German Ebike products now.

Like him or loath him, and the majority on here loath him, if Farage takes over UKIP again, I can see The Cons and Labour having a complete melt-down. I think UKIP would be back as a major political force, propelled by voter’s anger, resentment and a feeling of betrayal with the main political...

They have absolutely no right to defy the outcome of the referendum and however it's dressed up, to go against the vote will ignite a smouldering, deep seated resentment. The government have made such a monumental balls-up of the Brexit process, that I now think it is safer for us to stay in...

We did. Have you not noticed the pattern? This is how it works: 1) Convince people they must fear leaving the EU. 2) Ask people to vote on membership of the EU (In or Out) 3) IF 2 = Out Goto 1 4) IF 2 = In Goto 5 5) Democracy has prevailed and the matter can now rest until the end of time...

I do remember that flight. It’s astonishing how he was able to fly it there without being shot down. I suppose it demonstrates how much inertia there is when reacting to a surprise event like an aircraft intruding into the heart of a country. It wouldn’t surprise me to learn that it’s easy to...

I’m just watching a recording of the ladie’s Wimbledon singles final. The umpire sounds like Barry White and I can’t tell what he’s saying. The commentary is all in Scottish, so I have absolutely no idea what’s happening. If only everyone spoke like Jacob Rees-Mogg, life would be so much easier.

True, it’s always General Aviation which suffers as a result of the actions of the clowns.

The CAA prosecute. Off the top of my head, if a prosecution was to happen, it would most likely be under Rule 5 (I think), flying within 500’ of vessel, vehicle or structure.

The Air Navigation Order applies to everything from a kite to an airliner. In some instances and for certain types of aircraft, the CAA devolve licensing to a national club. Gliding and microlight aircraft being such cases. Hot-air balloon pilot licensing on the other hand is administered...

The area in which the pilot flew will be within a temporary restricted aviation area. There is no doubt about that. These areas are activated for security reasons and for the safety of other official aircraft operating in that area. These will include the police, security personnel, news and...

It’s usually the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) who investigate any infringement of The Air Navigation Order. They also usually instigate the prosecution if that is appropriate. There are two potential offences which the microlight driver may have commented. The first is the 500’ Rule. The...

You misunderstand. Trump and Obama both won the US Presidential election. There is no difference. The office of President of The USA must treated with respect and the American people’s choice should also be respected. What we saw from the protesters in London yesterday is the result of poor...

It always raises a smile when people blame the electoral system for delivering Trump. Not a peep about it when it delivers Obama though. I understand why, and that’s even funnier.
