    Advise please.

Hi Muddyfox Reading through your requirements, I can't help thinking that you would be well served by the same bike as I have: https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/electric-bikes/apollo-phaze-electric-mountain-bike-17-20-frames I've had mine several months now, and it's pretty much become...

    Introducing the new Woosh Rambla

Pretty much spot on, I reckon. For my money I'd stick with a deraileur and robust, name brand budget compnentry, ie 8 speed maximum and a simple thumbshifter or basic gripshift.

    Amazing what is out there

The bare feet and stance give it away. It was Cedric Lynch himself! :)

    Amazing what is out there

Looks like something Cedric Lynch would have built as a prototype about 15 years ago. Maybe it was! :D http://www.bikeweb.com/node/2601

Is my 2013 Woosh Santana CD worth anything?

Seriously? Ebay it! Set up an auction to run for 7 days with an honest description, half a dozen decent photos, 99p start and no reserve. If it's a working e-bike you'll have multiple bidders racking the price up every day. Tip: Make sure you tick the "collection only" box unless you want...

    Viking E-Go 24 impulse purchase

That's pretty much my take on it, too. As an aside, do you still have your Swizzbees?

    Viking E-Go 24 impulse purchase

Another update on this zombie thread. To recap... Back in April 2015 I bought a broken 24V e-bike (Viking e-go 24) for £20 to fix if feasible, and to discover what was what in regards to e-bikes. I did indeed fix the bike, rode it for a while, learned a bit from it, plus more from here, but...

£1,000 budget for folding E-Bike for regular urban journeys

Sadly, I don't think that Woosh do the Gallego any longer, as that sounded like it would have met your criteria. http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?gallego

    Hopper5 here, hello group

I used to have a well used example of the same bike, labelled as a Viking e-go. The frog battery had bounced around so much it had all but destroyed the battery terminals.

    Front Hub?

That's almost convinced me to find and buy another one! :D Diff'rent strokes f'r diffrent folks. Not everyone wants the handling of a MotoGP bike. Mrs 13 loves her rear-hub motored bicycle and thinks that the front hub motored ones I prefer handle like a greased pig on a skateboard. I guess...

    Front Hub?

Whether it's sheer perversity or whatever, I prefer front hub motors. It's like having two wheel drive, and reminds me of riding old Velosolex mopeds. From your own physical description, added to my front hub preference, I would be looking at a Woosh Big Bear.

Hello from Dorset. Advice on must haves.

Yep, depends upon what you are doing. For me, the only must-have is a decent U-lock that can lock two bicycles up, for when Mrs 13 and I stop for a decent coffee. :)

    First Ride of an Ebike

Mrs 13's Pendleton Somerby-e has V brakes. They are absolutely fine.

    Should you buy from 50Cycles?

I noticed it the same way at around the same time. There was a noticeable slow down in activity within the shop for weeks beforehand, though. They seemed to be unable to cope against competition from two other major e-bike retailers within a few miles' radius, despite having a prime position...

How do I deal with abusive customers?

If you are successful in any customer-facing business David, you are going to get the odd one. The face of my business is me. I rely quite heavily on my reputation, bolstered by good feedback on social media. Very occasionally someone will creep out of the woodwork who is unhappy, and unhappy...

Woman hit by Cyclist awarded a payout

My guess is that it will get overturned on appeal. Unfortunately, cyclists are subject to irrational prejudice. It seems that this extends to the level of judges.

    Chainline

Yes, I've done exactly that with a 24 speed MTB, converting it to one ring at the front. If it won't set up without a bit of rubbing at either the largest or smallest cog, don't worry as long as it engages without slipping. As TobyAnscombe says, optimise it for your riding. Mine was set up for...

    handlebars

I've been a fan of North Road bars, but bought a cheap hybrid recently with a set of On-one mary bars fitted. I actually prefer the marys now.
