    Viking E-Go 24 impulse purchase

A £5.99 crank from ebay and it's good to go. Rides well above expectations, considering its bargain price. It reminds me of a Velosolex moped I rode back in the late 70s. I gave it a very quick clean up and lube, then let Mrs 13 loose on it, hence the reduction in seat height. She loves it...

    Viking E-Go 24 impulse purchase

Indeed. I suspect that it's been used for commuting and left outside either for the day time or even 24/7. Maintenance has obviously been kept to a minimum to keep it rolling. At least the battery hasn't been stood discharged. I'l see how it is after some use. Charger appears to work fine...

    Viking E-Go 24 impulse purchase

I stopped by the local cycle shop at lunchtime today and spotted this ittle E-Go sat outside looking forlorn. I enquired about it and was told it had been taken in part exchange for a new e-bike. It was a 2013 model and was well used, a statement borne out by its condition. The pedal crank was...

Don't even mention it. It's helped me find out something I didn't know...without asking. :)

Funnily enough, when browsing off-the-shelf bikes those two have caught my eye. With the price hike of the Vita Uno 26 I wouldn't even consider it against those two. However, the crux of the matter is that my decision was based on a complete bike for under £700 versus a self-build. At under...

This stuck in my mind and with other projects to complete on the outside of the house this Summer I figured I'd save valuable time by buying a Vita Uno 26...only to find that the price has gone up by 20% in the past couple of weeks and is now £835. So, I'm probably going to go the build route...

Best value entry level bike - NEW - VITA UNO-26

This bike came up as a recommendation for me about 2 weeks ago. Due to some issues with my home-built single speeder I decided that I'd probably go for one. The price must have hiked £140 in the last 2 weeks as they are now £835! Any reason for the 20% price rise?

Not a problem. I just thought I'd pay a visit if there was a dealer nearby.

Thanks for that. Excuse my ignorance but what would I notice as the performance difference between the Q100 and Q100H?

Not entirely flat, but not exactly Ditchling Beacon either. I'm 80-82kg depending upon how close it is to Christmas.

Thanks NZGeek. Actually that's reminding me of another reason why I'd favour using my existing single speeder. Although it is made from 90% used/discarded parts they were all half-decent at one time (early 90s Shimano XT etc). I know that the single speed is a bit perverse, especially for...

Hi all, from a 51 year old newbie to the scene. This is a bit of a non-committed introduction. I used to be a regular cyclist, bit of mountain biking, 30 mile round trip commute 2-3 times a week, 6 months of the year, London to Brighton ride ever year, that kind of thing. 10 years ago I had a...
