    I welded polycarbonate sheets

You can get plastic angle trim that could be glued on to smarten the appearance. I often use black 'food-grade' poly' sheet to construct boxes, welding is very easy I find a small flame torch easier for neater joints.

Interesting Alternative To Bicyle Helmet Video

Actually, I think it looks like a good development. Given the huge advances in air-bag technology deployment times & looking at the overall shape It looks as if it will offer far more cushioning than the normal hard shell helmet.

    Replacement 36V 15AH Lipo packs

I've just had a quick look at your batteries, great prices but notice in the Q&A that for bikes other than Whoosh bikes you don't offer any warranty. Is this correct?

    Is it legal?

I was talking to a guy who has a Cyclone powered mountain bike, he was very coy regarding the motors power and told me (with a grin) that you can buy 'the 250w label for any of the motors'. I guess if you're sensible no-one's going to know.

    Is it legal?

That's what I originally thought but I've met a number of electric bike owners who have bikes with an 'off-road' switch which boosts them over 15mph with no pedal assist. I would think their motors must be more than 250.

    disappointed!

They now offer a one year guarantee on the batteries and yes they do keep them correctly. I went into it with them in some detail when I had the bikes from them along with an electric wheelchair. Incidentally the exact same bikes and spares can be found at 'Vulcan-Bike Elektro-Fahrräder'...

    Backpack battery. What amp wire?

One of my kids wants to use a front hub kit ( inc controller) on a bike and borrow a battery until he (I) can afford it. This is no problem but I'm not certain what amp wire to use from the batt' to the controller, I have a reel of thinwall 30 amp twin or 41amp single. What's best?

    The keirin event 2012

Does anybody know what 'motorbike' is being used in the velodrome for the keirin. My son says it is electric and as far as I can see it looks like the old french velox?

    Is it legal?

amigafan2003. I totally agree with your sentiments but I think you have maybe had a bad experience of Cyclones or perhaps witnessed one 'straining', when they are geared correctly they are no nosier than a Currie & we had a Trek ladies Enlightened which was even noiser. As for 'huge motor...

    Is it legal?

Thanks flecc but I don't really foresee any real problems. I put a 650w Cyclone into a vintage Moulton quite a while ago and it's still going strong, the only problem with that was solved by fitting those white balloon tyres from a Raleigh shopper

    reliable connectors

I find the Anderson Tornberry connectors 10 x TORBERRY ANDERSON CONNECTORS WITH RUBBER BOOT COVER POWERPOLE (5 x PAIR) | eBay do the trick & stand the test of time but a bit bulky compared to the RC kit. Regarding the fuse the waterproof blade fuse type already shown are used on our vehicle...

The French put a stop to it.

To be honest I find driving in France to be a dream especially when on two wheels & only the Low Countries better for cycling. France still have cops who bother about traffic violations & speed traps & by and large the majority of drivers (bar Paris) obey the rules and even slow down in the...

    Is it legal?

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm not too worried about the noise as basically it will only be used in town, It's an old Pashley trike with a large basket on the back & anyone who has ridden one of those will know that they tend to tip at any sort of speed, if they can get it to go straight &...
